Jonaseymour on 21/11/2012 - 15:44 ¶Thanks, registered. Don't know if I'll use it, but it's nice to have the option.
chiefbodge on 21/11/2012 - 15:44 ¶What would a nerd who isn't even remotely interested in sport or physical activity and spends all day on the computer looking at ozbargain do with this fabulous deal?
TL;DR what can I buy?

Hi can i ask, how do you get to know about these offers? When I go to http://www1.amexnetwork.com it doesn't seem to show the Rebel deal straight away, I have to click on your link.

+1 votekingsville on 22/11/2012 - 08:00 ¶or some sports wash for 99c
http://www.rebelsport.com.au/eng/product/penguin-sports-wash...

Yep… if it says this
"Now that you have registered, to be eligible for the $25 credit back on your Card you must spend $50 or more in a single transaction on your registered Card at Rebel by no later than 9 December 2012. Statement credits are generally issued within 5 business days of an eligible transaction."
…then Happy Shopping :)
Clicks are just people that viewed the offer, it does not reflect the number of people who have taken it up. Loads of people don't even have Amex cards but still want to have a squizz to see what they are missing out on… offers like this are essentially a marketing tool that benefit those in the know :) Hooray for Ozbargain!

snappy1234 on 22/11/2012 - 07:16 ¶"@ HB01…How do you know if your one of the first 5000 people?"
you get an email from them confirming pretty well straight away

I found this misleading. Was there really an email sent out to confirm?
When I registered the web site response was that I had registered successfully. But I did not receive an email at that time.
I made a purchase of a gift card which I received on Tuesday and the charge appeared on my account on Tuesday. On Thursday 2.03am I received an email from Amex:
Congratulations! You have completed all qualifying transactions on your
registered Card ending in xxxxx.Your $25 statement credit for spending $50 or more at Rebel will be issued to your registered Card account. Statement credits are generally issued within 5 business days upon completion of your eligible transaction.

http://www.rebelsport.com.au/eng/product/wilson-blade-98-blx...
Bought one today after registering my AMEX card. It is apparently a very popular and well reviewed racquet for intermediate+ players, only on sale because the model is being superceded soon.
dealsniper on 23/11/2012 - 16:59 ¶went to rebel twice - couldn't find anything that i liked. any good deals?
Jonaseymour on 27/11/2012 - 11:27 ¶You should get an email, and then a $25 debit applied to your credit account in the next day or 2.

Jonaseymour on 27/11/2012 - 13:04 ¶Thanks, I was never very good at accounting… You get the money back is the idea :P

Yes Rebel and Amart Sports are under the same owners.
snappy1234 on 29/11/2012 - 16:08 ¶Just had my email to say $25 credit on the way for me
THANKS To
Undercut
I ordered two items but only received one. The invoice lists both, but the second item is "0" under "Quantity Shipped" - I presume they're out of stock. Problem is, only the first item was charged ($29.99), which means I haven't actually spent $50. What now? Do I ask Rebel or Amex?
Jonaseymour on 13/12/2012 - 18:53 ¶Yeah, they haven't processed mine yet either. I wouldn't have bought from there otherwise. I've sent them an email, but they said it could take a week for a reply. I'll probably contact Amex network as well. I'm not settling for no refund…
Jonaseymour on 13/12/2012 - 19:38 ¶I sent it though my american express account, there doesn't seem to be a specific email for amex network.
snappy1234 on 13/12/2012 - 19:58 ¶what about this one from the deals ?
AmexNetwork@email.amexnetwork.com
Jonaseymour on 13/12/2012 - 21:36 ¶Tried replying to that first and got this "This message is automatically generated. We are unable to respond to account
inquiries sent in reply to this e-mail. To contact your Card issuer by phone
with any questions, please call the number on the back of your Card."
Jonaseymour on 14/12/2012 - 08:36 ¶How frustrating… My order was stuck as an 'open order' so wasn't charged and won't be shipped, due to a 'glitch in the system' So looks like I missed out on the offer.
The thing that makes this more frustrating, and somewhat suspicious is I tried to buy in-store the day before and my amex kept being declined for no reason ($0.00 balance) even when I went back 20 mins later. Hence why I decided to just do it online.
Jonaseymour on 14/12/2012 - 08:45 ¶mmm… I should have suggested that, my girl wasn't that switched on.
I've sent a complaint email to rebel regarding their service. Hoping for a $25 gift card, but I don't like my luck given the shite service so far.
snappy1234 on 14/12/2012 - 08:54 ¶I believe the Bank issued ones do ( maybe just check with your bank)
I may or may not have an amex issued one…and if i did it would not have a PIN ;)
Jonaseymour on 14/12/2012 - 09:03 ¶I've got a Qantas Amex card, which I believe is just Amex issued and it has a pin. You had me worried there, but there is a "YOUR PIN" section of my online account.
