BargainHaggler on 29/11/2012 - 18:17 ¶CPU - single core …..
Ram - bad
Res - yuk
Cams - please, better off not having themSame price you could go "ainol" and be happy (pun intended :-) )
Or go for a weapon ( nexus 7).
+2 votesOn the Plus side, Aldi will happily refund you within 60 days if you just decide you don't like it. They will also refund you if it breaks at all within a year, again no questions asked and no additional expenditure by the customer.
By those terms you don't have much to lose, you can suck it and see. Sure an Ainol may have better specs (in this budget tablet market we're not talking huge leaps and bounds), but if it arrives DOA, you've probably done your dough.

Ainol Crystal owner here. Specs wise, Crystal is better in practically all aspects.
But I agreed with bazzaa points, you will get a better buying experience with ALDI:
- you get the tablet now instead of at least a month for the Crystal to arrive.
- you might get an email after a week purchase that they are out of stock.
- tracking number almost useless (only active a few days before it arrived - that is after 2-3 weeks after your purchase).
BargainHaggler on 29/11/2012 - 18:24 ¶Out of stock though. But something to gauge by

Cheap Charlie on 30/11/2012 - 15:19 ¶Any recommendations for a budget priced unit with similar specs to the Ainol Crystal but with GPS and USB?
icemanmelb on 05/12/2012 - 10:52 ¶I've bought 2 before reading this. Im about to return both….
thanks for the commonsense post regarding the specs!
Love this site.
