    Good shaver, being waterproof has given the shaver an extra life after being dropped in water once.

    I think last time the AU model was an 1145 or equivalent? Either way, this is a superb deal. I believe Philips are doing cashbacks at the moment but unsure if they will offset the price enough.

    Jumped on this, I was gutted that I missed out last year! Can't go wrong with a $60 shaver. Can finally dispose of my Remington one that i've resorted to using off the wall because the battery is dead lol.

    Has anyone had this long enough to replace the cutters?
    It says you must replace every 12-18 months with the RC12 head and they cost around $75 to replace so it seems a little high maintenance.

      i have used mine for almost 18 months that is the 1150x, still going strong, i guess by the time the blades will run out, you can buy a brand new shaver rather than getting replacement heads…..which is what i am doing now by getting 1250x

      For the Philips Norelco 1150x/40 2D Razor, you will need RQ11. Amazon currently do not ship them to Oz.
      I was able to get it shipped here at the beginning of the year. Should be able to get it around $30 shipped when they do ship to Oz.

      It is not necessary to replace the cutters every 12-18 months, but you do get a better shave with a new cutters :).

    I've been using a Gillette Fusion for a while now and it's great. I tried a Braun electric shaver a few years ago and it wasn't any good - it didn't give a good shave at all. Are these shavers any good and do they work on any face?

    The 1150 is a great shaver for the price (I got it last deal) however I'm thinking of upgrading to the 1250 for 3D as it may shave my neck a little better. Cannot go wrong with either of these for the price though….

      I am getting the same. Tried every model and it will not ship to my address. Was keen as to get one too. :(

      EDIT: I worked it out, switch product packaging from Amazon frustration free to retail and it works.

      It all depend, the system cost you extra money and then maintaining cost to replace the jet solution.
      Just clean mine under the tap.

    Good price, I got the 1150X for $80 shipped a few months ago.
    As someone who has to shave every day, I can't say I'm terribly pleased with it. Takes a while to get a close shave, but you can get one at least.

    You don't need a plug converter necessarily, just bend the pins with a pair of pliers.
