yeah doesnt seem to be a condition related to gift cards compared to the other amex offer at country road (et. al.) http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/87478
+10 votesFor those of you in Canberra, Tuggeranong Target always have the $10 off $40 or more spend attached to their receipt (So buy a 50c item first to get the voucher).
You could couple this voucher with this deal, example: $60 item - $10 - $25 cash back = $25 spend.
+1 voteAustin 316 on 11/12/2012 - 11:38 ¶Brilliant. I anyways had to spend more than $50 at Target this week. So happy.
+1 voteShootingStar3388 on 11/12/2012 - 11:48 ¶Thanks OP - just registered, perfect timing for Christmas!

I find this misleading advice.
In my situation, when registering on the website I received immediate feedback:
Thank you for registering for the $25 credit back offer
You have successfully registered your American Express® Card.
All you need to do now is spend $50 or more in a single transaction in-store or online at Target and American Express will apply a $25 credit onto your statement.
Statement credits are generally issued within 5 business days upon completion of the eligible transaction.
But be quick - this offer is only available until 24 December 2012.

I have not received an email at this stage.

I always find the email to be the piece of mind that the information you provided was correct. If you have not received a confirmation email, I would check your spam folder. Any issues and you could always refer Amex to the email. However, in my experience Amex has been hassle free in providing cash back lately.

+1 voteHi,

+1 voteI have a photocopy of mine. I gave one original to my mum and the other to my sister. I use the photocopy. If you know someone with one, get a photo copy.
All it is is a barcode. Of course, this will only work at a self check out. If you hand it to a checkout chick they might notice it. In my case, it still has my name on it, so I could prove it's mine and claim I lost it.

Fraud sounds like a big word. Coles is not the law, so this wouldn't even count as a civil case. They won't call the police on you, they'll simply say "no we can't". I doubt it would stand up in court. It's a matter between you and Coles (the police won't touch it, even if Coles says the terms and conditions are 2 per person, they don't decide the law), and if you can legally get the same discount by passing the card around, it makes no difference to them.

now that we know you have one, can we get a photocopy? lol…
I'd rather not risk that, because every time the card is scanned, a record is kept with my card number in it. If you're in another state making transactions at the same time or same day as I am, they might get alerted to suspicious activity (though I could still claim you're a friend and I gave you one of mine). But then if you start photocopying it and distributing it to other friends / oz bargainers my card might be getting picked up in the system left and right and if there's an auto alert for this kind of activity, it could come back to me.
If you were a friend or family, I'd have no problem giving you a copy.
+1 vote"Cardmembers may not register more than one Card"
-> if you own, Amex from bank1, Amex from bank2, you cannot register both"Only transactions made on the Card you have registered are eligible. Supplementary Cards must be registered separately."
-> you cannot be the owner of supplementary card of your Amex, so owner of supplementary card can register without contradict first rule

Here's a link to buy gift cards at Target:
http://onlineshopping.target.com.au/Please note: Maximum single card value is $100. Maximum five cards per order (including iTunes and Other Gift Cards). A $3.00 delivery charge applies for each order.
Please ensure that your gift cards are ordered prior to Friday 14 December to ensure delivery before Christmas.

Or save even more.
Buy a $50 CML gift card, then use that plus an ING Paywave to pay $49 for an extra 5% off.
Target cashback = $25. Paywave cashback = $2.45. WD cashback is $50. WDTV Cost = $21.55
If you don't have a paywave, just pay cash (save $1) or credit (get points to save a bit more) and your cost is $24 if cash, or $24 with extra points if card.

kev go westie on 11/12/2012 - 13:15 ¶i guess getting the gift card is the most versatile way to use this deal, save the hassle of splitting bills too. and you can use it for boxing day shopping ?

this maybe a silly question…. will this work with my CBA issued Amex?
Edit:

+8 votesWoohoo! Used this in conjunction with http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/87365
Lego Star Wars planets Target price is $16 x 14 = $224
Pricematched with Toys R Us catalogue is 2 for 10, or $5 each. Plus get 2nd one at %50 off, so 2 for $7.50. Bought 14 all up, $7.50 x 14 = $52.50
Less this AMEX deal of $25 = $27.50. Which is 87.72% off original price of 224. Instead of paying $16 for each one, I paid $1.96 each.
Stacking deals and OzBargaining FTW!!! Stocking stuffers done!

Are you sure we can get WDTV live for $25? The page for the $50-off doesn't mention Taret as a participating store:
