  • Sounds like a handy app for the bookworms.

    No Android? :(

      …yet. If we ask nicely…..

I don't want to learn Java, but if you know any good Android developers, tell them to contact Booko.

I LOVE BOOKO! I didn't even know an app for it existed!

    • +2

EXACTLY what I was just thinking :D

  • +2

I can confirm it works just as well the website - barcode scanning is a charm! So happy!

  • +1

I think you could pretty much confirm (assume) everything is cheaper online without the app…

    • Yes, but handy to know how much cheaper if you're already in the store with book in hand.

      • exactly most people are willing to pay a little extra for a hard copy just because they are easier to read and it's nice to have something physical to give away to a friend at the end.

        • +3

They're talking about importing, not ebooks.

    • Not always the case. Discount book stores such as AllBooks4Less can be cheaper, so can the big stores like Big W when they put stuff on special. For most books, overseas is cheaper.

  • The app won't search amazon due to licensing issues but I seldom find amazon cheaper than book depository.

    • +3

Prices for Amazon are retrieved but shown as "Withheld", however they are in their correct sorted position in the list (cheapest to most expensive).

  • Big fan of Booko - got me buying books again
