Open a CommSec Account and Get $200

However I missed this "<b>Get $50 When You Open an ING Direct Savings Account (1 Deposit Needed)</b>"(http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/82829). Only because I opened the savings account together with the transaction account two days before the promotion started. Phoned ING direct and failed.

  • Forgot to mention the ongoing 5% cashback from ING Direct till June 30,
and bits and pieces from AmEx network.

  • +3

How much time did you spend?

    • Agreed - time is precious, don't mean to be a picky bugger, but what I sincerely mean is to make $100 say for the HSBC deal you'd need 5k over 5 months, i assume you can withdraw it out as soon as you deposit, but that's still a minimum (up to 25k max if you can't withdraw once deposit if it forfeits the bonus) of $5k .You could just chuck it on the sharemarket on a conservative dividend yielding stock of 7% and you'd get $350 straight away.

Compare that to all the time filling out forms, transferring here and there, you could probably devote that time to better money making activities.

That said, good work on making money anyhow lol. Just trying to maximise waht you get per unit of time spent! :)

  • The HSBC deal sounds out of my reach :)

Assuming you work for the man and collect over $5000 a month after tax consistently I guess at least $120 of that $600 total will be going to the government?

I've made $50 each from ING and ME bank and I'm concerned about forgetting to put them on my Tax Return (and getting locked up for 10 years or so). Although I've never paid my tax on ~ $0.32 cumulative interest (seriously…) from my previous savings account.
