Roborock Qrevo MaxV Vacuum Cleaner White $999 Delivered @ Roborock Official Store

710

I just bought this after researching robo vacs for a few hours. End of life item but only a bit over a year old so seems like a good deal now since it was nearly double the price a year ago.

Generally has good reviews online and the camera seems to be a plus over other newer Qrevo models in this price range. People seem to like the roborock software so thats a plus as well.

Use the ozbargain referral to bring it down to $899.10 making it ATL price looking at previous submissions.

  • It says referral discount code isn't valid for the items in cart? Anyone else having this issue

    • +1

I had to try like 3 codes before one worked

      • "discount code isn’t valid for the items in your cart" - tried roughly 10 codes

      • Finally got one to work. Thanks OP

I have this, highly recommend it

  • How do you get the referral code?

EOL = no more updates? is there a brand that does continue to provide updates to their vacs? I've got an ecovacs T9 and unsure officially, but it's definitely EOL from a software perspective. For such a pricey device, ongoing software support is terrible.

    • EOL = No updates. No spare parts. Why would anyone by a end of life product? After 12 months if something goes wrong its a paperweight.

      • Plenty of third party parts via AE etc pretty easy to find and cheap. It's a popular vacuum.

I have a Roborock S5 Max from an OzB deal back in 2020 and it's still going strong. The software/ firmware is much better than from when I originally purchased it.

      • I also have mine from the same time and is going very well. Replaced the battery from Aliexpress and is like brand new again. Great device

        • Got a link for the battery you bought? I'm always worried of batteries but if your happy with it - I may be tempted.
          S5 max FTW. Great unit.

      • I have a Roborock S7 from around the same time, and it too is going strong.

Who do you use for spare parts? I've used alixpress and amazon parts and the quality isn't the same.

    • +1

This is way better than a T9 by a really big margin, and there will be spares available for a very long time. The software on the QRevo is also solid, the only single reason i could see you would need an update is if future versions of Android won't run the app. But i think that's a long way off, and it's not hard to keep an old phone for the rare occasion you need to app.

      • good to know, my T9 seems to have lost it's mind too, even after a hard reset.

  • But I just bought my own Roborock Q8 Max+ Robot Vacuum & Mop for $375.05 just for the vacuum…. Now there is something more better?

    • Anyone have a handy summary of if or why this is $500 better? Still time to cancel the Amazon order for the Q8 Max+.

      • Mines sitting on the table and I have this in the cart…

It looks like just a few more mop perks. Mopping is better than the Q8Max +, but at the end of the day, you’ll still have to mop yourself. So, is it $500 better if you had to mop yourself anyway for either model?

Spinning pads are orders better than a dragged pad.

Think dragging a buffing wheel vs turning on the buffer.

In practice my 80+ mum has terrible glossy floors that show marks and she was forever mopping. This gets a run every second day.

      • +1

my robo vac knowledge isnt much but this has:
        - slightly more suction
        - better mopping system (spinning mop pads vs drag behind system)
        - the dock is better with hot water mop washing and tank refilling

one thing i was specifically researching for was object avoidance and while i expect this to still get stuck, this has lidar + structured light + camera while Q8 max+ (and new models like Qrevo C) only has lidar + structured light.

I was looking at all of these robot vacuum deals to replace my Viomi S9 and Eufy 35C… decided to getting two batteries instead.

They are getting tempting, though. If i can get a mop that raises itself, cleans and dries for under $600, im in.

    • there was a few you can get around $600 during prime day, probably can get something next time big sale go on

Released year ago, 10 models released after this already and now EOL. These guys need to calm the F down.

    • +2

Ikr! They're just throwing random bullshit and hoping something sticks

    • yeah, it's sh!tty, at least 3 years of updates/support. Planned obsolecence at it's best.

    • That's China though. See BYD: massive number of customers, lots of different models to suit, export a few models to little Australia.

  • Roborock or Eureka, any feedback on the brands ? New to robot vacuums

Anyone able to share the screenshot with discount price to help with cc price protection

I have it, this is probably the right price for it.

Pros - generally good performance, mopping seems ok too
camera - remote viewing we've found kinda handy
    Cons
Very short battery life/battery too small, can't do the full large house so tends to go out and then restart hours again later after recharge, so still trying to see how we resolve this.
Voice - is terrible, it constantly talks as its wake word really doesn't work so all day long we here "I did not understand the command". Have reverted to turning off voice and turning it on in the app just before using it.
Accessories - way too expensive from roborock directly, have tried some third parties but haven't found anything I haven't returned. usually mop pads are too big and jam the unit. Search still on.
Mapping - it does really weird things and I think software isn't mature.. e.g. if a room is blocked off it (which we do often) it hangs around the door trying to get in for ages and then goes back and tried later, haven't seen this this issue before with older models, also we've had it stop between vacuuming and mopping routines which is extremely bad because you can't really restart it given the battery will have been depleted too much to complete a full run again. Software seems to not be too robust at this stage….
Cleaner fluid is expensive as hell, and unsure if there is a cheaper generic alternative that won't cause failure of the robot.

Overall. more pros than cons.. at that price point.

No idea what end of life means here. might be worth looking into that, I am expecting there to be software updates to address the many bugs over time but if end of life implies they won't keep working on the bugs, then better not get one.

I really wish the robot vac manufacturers would Apple-ify their lineups and make it many times more simple. Even the QRevo line alone has like 16 different variants, none of which I know if it's suitable for my needs and it seems even harder to find reviews on specific units, especially in Aus.

  • I'm so confused by their line up
How does this compare to the Qrevo L I bought a week ago from Amazon?

  • how is this one compare the one costco on sale? i think model is

Really good vacuum for this price. I paid $1200 just a few months ago.

  • Hey sorry guys i dont know how to get a referral code. I didn't get any when I did my purchase (although still waiting for order to be processed). Sorry if none of the ozbargain ones are working anymore.

One worse option is to signup to the roborock promotional emails and you get a 3% coupon which will take $30 off

  • Wait - is this just for the robot without the base? The base seems to be a seperate option on the website

  • Man I think I paid 2g for ours that sucks, good little vacuum though
