Best place to buy shoes!!!

Not fashion shoes but training shoes! :D

Anyway, i know nothing about shoes but am hoping to buy one for PE at school, tennis, sprinting and long distance running. I have no idea what brand or what type of shoe to buy. I need you help in finding a suitable buyer(can buy online if reliable) and a good type of shoe that will serve it's purpose!

I really need you help and i'm looking to spend less than $100 but i only want to spend around $50-60

Thankyou fellow Ozbargainers and may the bargains be with u! :D

No. Buy from StartFitness and Wiggle.

    • Dodgy website selling counterfeit shoes. Giveaways are the Western Union for payment and the lack of contact details for getting in touch (e.g when you realise your shoes are cheap fakes and you want your money back!!). They dont give a contact phone number and an email address, just a dodgy webform thing. All the hallmarks of a pirate counterfeit operation. I havent even checked the details on the web domain etc but I would use your old shoes to run a mile from this site.

Good advice on wiggle and start fitness, I've bought runners from there and all went very well. chainreaction cycles might also have the shoes you are after, as may acasports.co.uk.

In terms of shoes, long distance shoes and sprinting shoes are basically at different ends of the spectrum. That's like saying I want to buy a car that is good for both Formula 1 and for towing my caravan!

If you are happy with last season's models etc you will find a deal on wiggle for some $50 runners. I dont know about Nike Free Runs for $50. There are so many types of runners made for so many different types of activities and different types of feet it is hard to make a recommendation. I often see bargains in the US at Joe's New Balance Outlet, sometimes for $20 - $30 but the postage to Oz would kill the deal. Eastbay is OK but once again, for what you are wanting to spend postage could be 1/2 of the price. I'd look UK shops or even watch COTD here in Aust for one of their sales, they often sell off runners at big discounts.

Actually, have a look in here and see if there's anything that fits:

Nike Free Runs don't really seem like good shoes for sprinting or long distance running either. I'm no expert though but they don't seem like they offer much support and don't look too durable either.

You can try Eastbay if you don't mind waiting for shipping from the US

Shipping is 3 days from EastBay…

  • thanks, i'll look for shoes on startfirtness, wiggle and eastbay

Mate not everyone here has the time to spoon feed you. Why don't you go to Rebel Sport, Athletes Foot etc. to see what you like and comfortable with and from there you can make a decision.

  • Especially if you don't even know your shoe size, just go to Harbour Town or DFO and check out the sports shops there and their range.
