    min cost $17 for lunch, $26 for dinner.
    pretty sure for that price you can get a steak, chips + salad elsewhere but if you eat a lot from the salad bar it's worth it

        I went the other day and for two people, they were only giving out 2 pcs, has always been at least 4 pcs. Watched what others were getting and it was the same.

        Also used this voucher and realised I would have been better off using two $5 vouchers from previous dockets. Sigh.

          You know what you should of done…asked for more cheese bread if you really wanted it. Nothing like bread dipped it lard and deep fried.

          Sizzlers prices skyrocketed and their food quality stayed the same. Pay a bit more (or a bit less at some places)and go to a quality all you can eat place.

          It's got butter/spread and parmesan on one side and it's grilled, not deep fried and certainly no lard involved. Yup, I know I can ask for more, used to years ago but 2 pcs each has always been good enough as of late.

          Paintoad - can you please confirm how it's made, definitely not deep fried (as one side is still soft bread) and pretty sure there's no lard on it.

          It's just bread that comes prebutted with this extremely greasy (seriously I'm surprised it didn't dissolve the boxes it came in) combination of cheese and butter…but I'd say it's mostly butter.

          As for cooking, it's chucked on a grill for a few minutes, nothing more.

          I use to have to cut boxes of the stuff, I'm talking like 50 boxes for weekends. Would take hours. Yet, I still love the stuff, so must be good.

          Easy to make at home… melt a spoon of parmesan cheese & marg or butter in the microwave … spread on thick bread one side…. cook in frying pan spread side down until done.. Easy :-)

      Kids under 2 or near enough, eat for free as well, and when they decide they don't want the bowel of water mellon and pasta sauce anymore, some poor soul comes and takes it away and they can try another horrible concoction..

        Yeah, last time we were on the GC one of my mates wouldn't eat at Sizzler because that was the one where the poisoning incident occurred…MANY YEARS AGO!

        We had a great meal there…I'm not so sure old mate enjoyed his dodgy takeaway from elsewhere as much though! :p

          From what I recall, there was no actual poisoning event. Some crazy old woman put the rat poison in herself and then claimed it was already there or something like that.

          Sizzler then installed a heap of cameras overlooking all the salad bar areas etc if they didn't already have them and there's been no further problems afaik.

          Hard to hold the actions of some loopy woman against the company she tried to defraud / extort.

    Sizzler's old slogan "Steak Seafood Salad" was always "Steak Seafood S**thouse" for me going through my 20's and into the 30's. Why? Their steaks were the most overpriced, overcooked piece of tough old leather I saw in any "steakhouse".

    Then, I had kids. Their free salad bar for under 4's (If I recall correctly) is quite good.

    Their steak is still toilet. I usually order the chicken something. BUT, it now costs ~$30 (reasonable value at mid $20's 2 years ago). Sure, that includes the all you can eat barf bar - but that is the price for a piece of a chicken at restaurants where they actually know how to cook and can rock out quality product cooked consistently correct.

    TL;DR… Sizzler = Steak Seafood S**thouse.
