good that you posted here in the forums and not as a 'bargain' as price matching in itself isn't a bargain… but i am interested in knowing who you got officeworks to match… haven't got anything android and i'm getting tempted by these prices…

    Sorry it is coming now.

It was actually techshopping. Funny we don't even know they're a legit site yet!

But was very lucky, she sussed out the website then she says to the other staff member it is a bank transfer only and the other staff member said something along the lines of no surprise there.

    • scam site did a good thing for you. Lucky man

Anybody given it a go yet?

    • sweet! thanks, ill give that a go. even though im in a different state! haha

  • Worth a try, let me know how you went.

    • Thanks treeman! worked a treat was able to get same deal at OW as well.

Matched at Officeworks O'Conner WA =]

    • Well done!
      Glad I helped someone.
Did they ring the store to verify or just do it?

Got it successfully at Midland WA. Initially went to Joondalup but they didn't have stock. Staff said I could get it price matched over the phone and pick it up in store.

Thought I'd try my luck at the Midland store and got lucky! The manager I spoke to on the phone thought I was trying to price match Kogan (he mentioned different warranty, grey stock etc etc) but the staff that served me was really easy going.

Showed him a printout and he went online to confirm free shipping.

        • Mindsweeper or bobuncle, can either of you post the receipt as I am in Perth and would like to try to get OW to pricematch as well. Thanks.

Officeworks North Ryde managed to price match as well. :) they have two left in stock!!

  • As far as I'm concerned they shouldn't kick up too much of a fuss, these should continue to come down once the s4 is released next month so we are just ridding them of a few extras now rather than later.

  • Officeworks in Canberra will NOT price match and claimed that it is against company policy and that the price (I showed them Treeman's receipt from Ofificeworks) was well below their cost. OK. I have to accept that. Still looking for a Galaxw SIII at a good price.

    • Well that's not their policy they should have accepted.
I would understand if they didn't price match as they didn't trust the company due to not taking credit card but that excuse doesn't count.

    • Hey Vk1st,

if you are still after an s3, try the Belco branch, I just got mine price matched. Best to print it out:

      http://www.techshopping.com.au/?product=samsung-galaxy-s-iii…

plus the non- gray import guarantee and the free aus shipping.

I got it! From NSW OW! Thanks so much treeman……

    • Glad you got it working! Well done. Glad I could help.

  • I wish ow had galaxy note 2's

  • I am sure it is a scam site. The address points to a car park as discussed in whirlpool.

  • Doesn't work, the office work i went to has flagged the site :(

  • Can i print ur receipt for Pricematch? or just mention the website?

  • Anyone else successfully do this in a Sydney store?

  • Hello,

I tried this at OW punchbowl & carlton and they both rejected on grounds being non Aus stock. they indicated that the store at ryde may have made a mistake in accepting the price match

  • Hey guys

I managed to get it at OW Narre Warren. I had no dramas with this, I had printouts stating that the phone is not a grey import, it is Aussie stock.

Unfortunately I price matched the white one and paid $350 (5% off $369 - http://www.techshopping.com.au/?product=samsung-galaxy-s-iii…). OP price matched the blue version

    • Is it Aus Stock? What printout do you have stating it is Aus Stock?

States that the items are Australian products guaranteed by Australian warranty and not grey imports. As others have stated above, there are doubts about the authenticity of techshopping but it should be enough information for OW to honour their pricematch.

    • Hi just wondering if you could please send me or post a copy of your reciept

I just got Officeworks Capalaba QLD to do the price beat. Came to $341.05 like OP. I'm heading overseas soon so will get back $31 GST making it $310.05 for a new, Australian Stock, 2 year warranty, GS3

    Can't complain about that! :-)

  • I am tempted to cancel my order with think of us!! Wish I had persisted

  • Techshopping.com.au is a SCAM. I have been burnt. DO NOT buy from them.

  • See my other comments for deatils but http://www.techdiscounts.com.au/ is an identical site and nearly got my money but the bank returned my payment as Account Closed. I only lost $2.50 in a fee.

  • Yea fantastic news, just saw this… LOL

  • Don't bother with trying to price match techshopping.com.au and co. since officeworks will not match any grey importers or scam sites. for those interested in the T&C of price matching at officeworks..

you say this, yet 8 people (maybe more) managed to successfully price match. Have nothing to lose by giving it a go!

  • Good odds, just got a price match at OW, ACT. On store said no, the other said ok.

I went to Chadstone Officeworks, Melbourne, today and presented the same purchase deal from techshopping.com.au which was $359.00 for a Samsung Galaxy S 111 16GB mobile phone. Officeworks did not hestiate & gave me the same model for $341.05. I have saved heaps, $253.95, about 43% off their advertised price of $595.00. I am very happy at the moment.

    • I tried Carnegie and city, unfortunately I got rejected. Please help with all the tricky stuff. May i please have a copy of your receipt and what did u showed them?

    • any chance you could send me a copy of the receipt?

    • any chance you could send me a copy of the receipt?

  • the current website shows "clearance".

did officeworks honour that as well?
or did u just show the receipt?

    cheers.

BECAUSE THIS ADVERTISED MODEL BY OW'S IS AN OLD VERSION, 3G, CURRENT MARKET VERSION IS NOW 4G. THE STOCK THAT OW'S HAS AT THE MOMENT IS OLD STOCK. IT COULD BE SAID THAT OW'S ARE GETTING RID OF OLD STOCK, CLEARING OUT OLD STOCK FOR THE NEW STOCK, IE. 4G.

WHAT TO TOOK TO OW'S, WERE PRINTED OUT PAGES,
    - 2/3 SHOWING THE PRICE OF $359.00, WHICH SHOW IT TO BE AN "CLEARANCE!!!" ITEM,
    - 1/2 PRODUCT WARRANTY &
    - 1/2 SHIPPING INFORMATION, "BEING FREE"

EARLIER THAT DAY, I WENT TO OW'S WITH A BUNCH OF OTHER SUPPLIER PRICES & DETAILS. ABOUT 85% OF THE SUPPLIER'S WERE REJECTED BY OW'S. MAINLY DUE TO No 2 ABOVE, THE TYPE OF WARRANTY OFFERED BY THE OTHER SUPPLIERS. THE BEST PRICE I COULD GET FROM OW'S AT THAT TIME WAS $458.66.

SO I WENT BACK TO THE DRAWING BOARD & FOUND "OZBARGAIN", THEN "TECHSHOPPING.COM.AU"

IT TOOK OW'S ABOUT 15 MINUTES TO VERIFY THE ABOVE STATED PAPER WORK BEFORE MEETING "TECHSHOPPING.COM.AU" PRICE BY 5%, BEING $341.05.

      THANKS FOR CLARIFYING THAT !

      • HAHAHAHAHA!

  • THAT'S OK.

HOPE THEY DO THE SAME FOR YOU.

  • The techshopping.com.au webpage has been suspended… anyone else not able to get to it any more?

  • +1

the site shows to be a CLEARANCE item, ive read the TnC of OW that they dont pricematch CLEARANCE :c
Also, it seems to be non acessible
So if anyone got the printout with non clearance writting together with the non gray warranty bla bla please kindly share the love!

  • How do you attach pdf's to this site.

Note: I presented the above stated paper work to OW's, which stated the items were "clearance" items.

Chadstone OW's accepted the paper work.

Nothing ventured, nothing gained. I tried, & was successful in reducing the previous offer from OW's from $458.66 to $341.05. A further saving of $117.61.

Other people have tried the same deal arrangement with OW's & have been successful!

You have not got anything to loose, except a bit more time. It could be worthwhile, if you give it a go.

    • I guess you gotta put it up somewhere and copy the link of the pdf. (?)

    • just click on "My Account" top right. Then under the "view" tab you will see "files". Just click on that and select "upload new file". Then just copy+paste the link to the file

Attached are copies of the documents that I gave to Ow's & the price I paid.

    I hope these help.

Can anyone open the above pdf's.

Please explain to me how the files can be open to everyone, thanks.

    • cant open the files…they only appear as text…
just wondering if these pdfs' are of any use of since they website is already down…and if Officeworks staff goes online to check the site ( which i think they normally do)…the claim will be rejected.

  • I called up and checked if they could pricematch. They said they cannot pricematch off a receipt, but could off the website. I then found out that the website has since been removed, so no luck for me :(

    • Advance- im posting on mobile
Search on google 'internet wayback machine', and go to that and enter the URL above and if the machine has captured that page, it should be there:)
