i buy mine for 2.50 for pack of 5 at my local asian supermarket (3 month+ expiry)

    • +1

This is an Australia-wide offer and includes delivery. Off course someone somewhere may be selling it cheaper. Woolies and Coles sell it for more. Most Asian grocers as well sell it for more.

Also important to note here, this is the authentic Korean product, many Asian stores selling it cheap sell the Chinese version.

The expiry is indicative only. The product is fresh from the importer/distributor so it will what is usual for freshly imported product.

It is also important to compare apples with apples, this is delivery to your door. (Unless you live next door to an Asian grocer).

      • +2

        I like "fresh" instant noodles

      • +5

this is the authentic Korean product

        North or South ?

      • i don't see why anyone use woolies/coles as a benchmark because everyone knows how inflated those price are

i suppose it's good if you are >3 hours drive away from a metro area because asian groceries are everywhere

    • +3

Yup, $2.50 from the asian grocery at QV, Melb.

      • -5

        Impossible unless Chinese version.

        • What's the difference?

        • -1

Taste and quality. The real thing is from Korea. Chinese version usually retails for a lot less.

        • +2

Can confirm my local Korean grocery stores (Glen Waverley, VIC) typically have the 5-packs (made in Korea) for ~$2.50 - $2.99 each. I know because I buy this stuff regularly.

          Yummy! :)

        • They are made in Korea.

  • +3

Weren't these found to contain carcinogens a while back?

    • +5

thats what makes it taste so good

      • +1

        Mmm, carcinogens! :P

  • +2

second best noodle after indomie.. hehe

good deal. includes free delivery :)

    • Migoreng Pedas (one of the Indome variant in pinkish packet)
wins hands down against this stuff IMO

    • +1

      Couldn't agree more gan :beer

  • +2

i bought mine for $2.60. KT-mart (korean grocer) Vic St Melbourne. :D

Who cares about gangnam style , people must be an stupid to buy these because PSY (who is rather large) likes these….
    Living proof they are unhealthy

It's normally $15 per box (20 pack) at Korean groceries at Waverley garden(vic). Good price though with deliveries

    • where about is this korean groceries? i recently moved to waverley park and i can't seem to find any asian groceries in waverley garden

      • Sorry, My mistake its on the glen shopping centre, it's the small building on the left not inside the main building at 52/54 O'Sullivan Road Glen Waverley VIC 3150

  • +1

    NEG for Benzopyrene

  • +3

No deal. At my local Korean groceries, it's only $2.50..clearly says Product of Korea on the Pack.

  • +3

i'm pretty sure i get it from my local asian grocery store for 50cents a pack… and of cos it's a korean product and not the made in china crap…

  • +3

lol @ the rep comparing bulk unit price against single purchase unit prices

  • +3

Cheaper in the local Korean stores…

  • To be fair, I have tried both Chinese and Korean versions. They are a bit different in terms of noodles quality. The Korean one tastes way better. And the Chinese version had an issue with their spicy powder which went on news in China few months ago so I stopped eating them.

  • One of the best!
    Everybody loves this.
To my surprise some of my Oz friends eat instant noodle as well.
Instant noodle is definitely one of the greatest invention!

Gangnam Style's Korean singer Psy loves these

    Pso ???

  • +1

If I didn't live next door to an asian grocery store I would definitely take up this offer. These noodles are great, makes a nice soup (which I prefer compared to Indomie without the soup)

  • +2

was this recalled last year as for contained excessive amounts of plasticiser?

South Korean Nongshim shin ramyun was found to contain 1.3 parts per million (ppm) of DEHP, a potentially carcinogenic plasticizer

      • "Plasticizer was found in Chinese-made Japanese and Korean instant noodle brands in Hong Kong"

        • including shin ramyun

        • And this is Korean-made which I was emphasising, not Chinese-made

        • +1

Have you tested it for plasticizer?

  • +2

    Ozadvertising

  • Wooli and Coles sell for about $1 each, Korean grocery around melbourne would sell between 60 cents and 90 cents, bulk buy would be 5-80 cents each. Considerably free shipping with this site, It's reasonably ok for people who don't know or live far from Asian grocery stores. I would keep an eye on this store for other products. Hi Rep, Bring on other deals occasionally. - A Korean who live close to Asian grocery store who loves Psy and quite keen of success of Gentlemen,., Alangamola.,

    • no, it is crap! $3.2-$3.5/5pack everyday price here in Sydney.

  • Do you have Yeul Ramyon ?

  • cheaper at nsw hurstville, when its on sale.

  • I too only buy this noodle when it's on special for $2.50 for pack of 5.
One comment for the website, it looks dodgy because there are (external) ads everywhere.

    • are (internal) ads less dodgy ?
