  • I read a review of the new Skype 4 for Windows on download.com and it mentioned the bandwidth-improvements and recommended anyone looking to maximise the benefit of the managed-bandwidth technology and improved codec was to get a headset that is compatible with the new (broader?) bandwidth technology.

Short story: I'd look into Skype 4 reviews before buying a headset, just to make an informed decision and not miss out on the newer audio codecs in Skype 4 & probably other software.

    Good luck!

    • Any headset will work fine. Noise cancelling (removing background audio) is probably the better option which this headset has.

    • I believe what they mention, Ultra-Wideband technology has something to do with a clearer wireless headphone signal. So if you are using a bluetooth headset for Skype then that would apply to you. Wired headphones wouldn't suffer this problem.

  • should you post here everyday???

    • Well, if it's a good deal, why wouldn't we want to see it?

I've got that set of headphones and paid $80 for them, so I'd see it as good value. Besides if the store didn't do it, I'm sure some other Ozbargainer would.

  • I wonder how they compare to this other offer: HP Premium Stereo Headset with Mic for $25 + %9 shipping (http://www.catchoftheday.com.au/smallfish_info.php?products_…)
