  • Which Sofa are you planning to get? and where abouts in Melb are you at? I'm thinking of getting the Apartment Modular

  • Quick sort on price, your not really getting much for the 4k sofa/lounges they are selling.

    • that's why to give more value they're selling 2-for-1 :)

  • I was checking out the Aldo range, which appear good value with a BOGOF, but read this negative review: http://www.productreview.com.au/p/freedom-aldo-range.html

    • It's hard to know if a lounge you are buying these days is decent or not considering most are made in Asia. I understand many reviews are from disgruntled consumers. I was close to buying a Brooklyn leather model (made in Vietnam from memory) but the Facebook comments about quality and after sales service burned me. Try looking there.

  • I'm keen to get a Studio 2.5 Seater Sofa in Adelaide, if anyone else wants one to go halves?

  • Anyone looking at anything either $700 or $1000?
I'm keen on getting the Studio 2.5 or the Studio/Stockholm 3 piece package.
Message me if your keen on going halves, I'm in Melbourne.

    • Looking to get the studio modular 2.5 seater @ $1299. Also in Melb. Any interest? Can't seem to message you privately.

      • $1299 is too high for me man, sorry. If you're interested in anything $700 or $1000 though I'm down.
I'll be able to go to the South Wharf store, or the Essendon DFO store.

why not work out the % of the total cost of the products you both want… and then split the end cost based on that? doesn't work out as great a deal as half of $700, but could still be reasonable?

          eg: 700 + 1299 = 1999. 700/1999 = ~0.35.
So you pay 35% (~$455) of the $1299, other guy pays 65% (~$844). plus any postage costs.

obviously the closer the prices the better the bargain for both.

why are people negging comments in this thread??

You can get further 5% off with your RACV card in VIC. This is on top of the free Sofa. Tried this at Essendon Freedom and it worked.

Edit: Discount is only for the purchased item, not for the free one

    • Don't you get better discounts when you negotiate on the original price. Couple of months back I was 3 sofas to replace my existing Freedom sofas in my lounge. They are 3+2+2. I have had them for many years and still very strong. Only problem was that my little ones have made the fabric dirty.
They gave me a quote with 30% discount on RRP which came down to $2700 at the end. Can't remember for which model I got the quote for.

    So many unhappy customers ……

I am rethinking and holding off my purchase for now

  • Anyone know if you can use the second free for an armchair? Anybody tried?

    • If you read their Twitter feed, you can use it on an armchair.
You can use it on ANYTHING in the 'Sofa' section of their website

  • Hope you all managed to wheel and deal yourself a 'bargain'. I know I did.
I've been studying Game Theory (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Game_theory) for the past week or so, I hope if any of your guys collaborated together, it was nice and even and both parties benefited!
