They are being forced to compete on price because most people have realised that HN treat their customers like dogs.

Don't want to spend so much for an iron. I just got one cheap one from Target for $4.83 with ceramic non-stick surface like the Tefal irons. It's about the same weight as the irons from Philips and Sunbeam.

    • Still waiting for them to send the goods to my store. Reviews online say its not a bad iron.

  • we have this iron, and paid over $100 for it. it's brilliant, esp at this price!

  • Those Philips irons can't be delivered from places such as amazon, so this is a good local deal.

  • Thanks.. good price. Bought one :)

  • Another 15% at my local harvey today, yay. Bought one

Hardly normal being abnormal rejected my price match as expected. They claimed that the receipt is not an advertised price. The sstaff was EXTREMELY rude and claimed to be a manager. Sounds abnormal how this idiot became a manager. Hey but its hardly normal.

    $5 DISCOUNT CODE: welcome5
You can get another $5 off with this discount code and pick up from store.

  • just bought one just now - $83 before cashback and after the additional $5 discount code (thanks to solartommy).

  • Curious to hear how people go getting their cashbacks. I noticed today in the T&Cs that the claim form was meant to be mailed so that "it is received within fourteen (14) calendar days of the date the Qualifying Purchase was made (as specified on the purchase receipt)".

Of course, I'd bought one as a Mother's Day gift, so wasn't inclined to cut the barcode out of the box as required beforehand. The Harvey Norman website, Philips website, and claim form (I have screenshots/copies) all gave the impression you didn't have to get your claim form in before 27/5/13. I'm kicking myself for not reading the T&Cs in line with my usual level of caution (I'd saved a copy with the intention of checking them later) but it seems likely the cashback's advertising would be considered misleading under the relevant ACL guidelines.

If anyone is refused their cashback on that basis, let us know.
