Damn as if your local target has Zelda OOT. I went to Coles in Camberwell last Friday and all they had was crap shovelware. The benefits of living in a crime infested hell-hole I guess.

Ironic that somebody who supposedly lives in a upper class suburb is looking out for Target clearance sales LOL

      • Can't resist a bargain game prices in Australia are ridiculous especially for retro consoles.

    • +18

Maybe because you went to Coles..

    • I went to Target Camberwell a few weeks ago and they had next to nothing. Returned last night to grab something for $25, and buried behind some shovelware was a shining copy of Zelda OOT for $24.83. They had 3 small racks of 3DS games, and 2 of DS. No more Zelda or Kid Icarus.

Dick Smiths Camberwell had their usual nothing - apart from a Polaroid brand 5MP Digital Camera for $3.50, and a Polaroid 1.5MP Digital Video camera for $4.50. Maybe good for small kids to break.

  • Anyone up for setting up camp outside Target? So many clearance deals!

  • -1

Too bad they aren't sealed :'(.

On the other hand I've never seen them so cheap! :D

    • Most of the 3ds games at glen waverley still had the nintendo points inside, my ethics had doubts for a second or so:p

      • :o Are there any left at glen?

        • a handful, not worth committing a crime for though lol

I managed to get Starfox and Zelda OOT and Kid Icarus uprising for $24.83 yesterday at Campelltown's Macarthur Square Target (plenty of stock).

Zelda spirit tracks was ~$15 so i got that too

    • They had Star Fox too! And Spirit Tracks for $15 at Blacktown too! I think there was only 2-3 copies left though.

  • I purchased OoT from Target the other day!

  • If only the 3DS XL looked like the one shown in the related products tab (top left of below link) in real life I'd be all over it.

  • Where's my Pokemon? QQ

    +1 for the pdf preview.

  • Really wish I had a 3DS now…

  • I have a 3DS as of last week, but I have work from 7am to 4pm… dunno if I will make it in time!

Do people know if its all target shops?

    • I don't think so. Target Mt Druitt had full prices today.

  • I kinda only want Star Fox, and I'm not even sure I want that. Might just save it for MH3U or something.

  • bought a L A Noire for xbox 360 $9.83 in paramatta target saturday morning

  • Get Star Fox 64 3D while you can. Physical copies of that are hard to find outside the department stores that priced the copies of the original (and only) print run ridiculously until now.

    • I was playing my copy yesterday…such a good game that LYLAT WARS IS

    • Yeah, but it's on the e-shop anyway.

      • A digital copy for $70. He's just saying the boxed copy is out of print.

      • +1

It's on the e-shop, sure, but for a ridiculous price compared to $25 for a physical, retail copy that you can share with friends or family. You tell me which one is better.

  • I'm trying to decide whether to wait for them to drop further or grab them before they sell out.
There's still a few copies left of all the good ones at my local Target.

    • the only time you may find a better price is finding them 2nd hand…

  • A few other games for $9ish too. Picked up NFS: The run and Fifa 12 for under $10 each!

  • do any other stores stock them?

    • +1

      Yeah it's all Target stores.

I picked up RE: Revelations for $24.83. I'm not sure why since the HD version is releasing on consoles next month.

I also saw Wheel of Fortune on the DS for $2.83, All Professor Layton games were btw $24.83 - $29.83, the Ghost Recon launch game on the 3DS was $9.83.

      • Prof Layton on 3DS was definitely not cheap. It was ~$60 at Blacktown or I would have picked it up.

        Curious Village was ~$30
        Lost Future ~$50

        • professor layton games for original ds were these prices at k-mart. I noticed this in mackay kmart with prices ranging from $19.83 to $29.83.

  • sounds like target is really trying to make a statement with all these sales. thanks op and thanks for all the info from comments!

  • Just purchased StarFox and OOT from Helensvale Gold Coast. They had about 5 copies left of each. No Kid Icarus but almost 10 each of the others.

  • OOT sold out at both Southland and Chadstone.

Southland had a few copies of Kid Icarus for those interested.

  • Pretty much crap left at Canberra Centre. Apparently the games have been there for this price for 2 weeks. Plenty of Wii, PS3 and 360 games left - shovelware though, except for Red Faction.

    Picked up:

    Ghost Recon 3DS - $9.83
    Tetris 3DS - $19.83.

  • I went to Burwood Target on the weekend and didn't see anything like this!? Man, I'd dearly love to get my hands on Zelda Spirit Tracks…

    • Target Southland had 2-3 copies left if I recall, didn't notice Kid Icarus as noted above though :/

      • Really? I don't go in though, just called up. They said that had about 6 copies.

However the staff seemed pretty thick so id take a shrewd OB'er's word any day :) Cheers for the update

        • Nah they could have been more correct, I ended up calling up to see if they did have any copies of Kid Icarus later on in the afternoon and picked a copy up after their confirmation.

Thanks for the post btw, the copies must have been in the cabinet hidden or something.

  • I picked up the last two copies of Star Fox at target Geelong. Is there a way that someone would be able to trade me an unopened Zelda Ocarina for one of mine - I'm new and I'm not sure if that's something that can arranged through Ozbargain.

  • Alot of OOT and I think one copy of spirit track left at Bass Hill, NSW

  • Got Starfox from Macquarie Centre, I think it was the last one there. No Kid Icarus unforunately, but Resident Evil and Tetris were both there.

  • +1

Hmm…should I buy the games just to prepare myself for when/if I get a 3DS?

    • IF you're going to, yes. These are stupid cheap for some great games. If you can find them, get them.

  • Wetheril Park Stocklands Target had tons of copies of Ocarina of time, about 5 copies of starfox left, and 3 more copies of Kid Icarus. Couldn't find spirit tracks :(

  • Had to call 10 stores to finally find the masterpeice that is Ocarina of Time (Rockdale). As much as I wanted to try Kid Icarus, the issues of awkward controls made me think twice. Thanks OP.

    • Yeah I own Kid Icarus, bought for like $25 at Good Guys ages ago. Played 1 hour of it, for me it's pretty much unplayable.
Can't play it without the stand, but the stand sucks and stops it from being a portable game.

Honestly maybe the gameplay is good but I'm not sure why it got such high reviews.

      • You guys are missing out. I got Kid Icarus for $8 from Dick Smith (last copy in stock) and the gameplay is great for what it is. Controls are a bit unconventional but it's otherwise a quality first-party game you would expect from Nintendo.

        • I'm sure I am missing out, but it actually caused me pain to try and play it.
If it was compatible with the CPP I would buy one just to try it out.

        • It is a title that supports the Circle Pad Pro. You should try it out if the control scheme is too much, it helps quite a bit for some players.

        • Only for left handers. Doesn't allow for dual analog stick play apparently.

  • Bought Kid Icarus and Star Fox (Last copies I think :D) and Resident Evil: Revelations today at Hobart! Thanks OP!!!

  • Some Wii games are on special at target too.
I got Zelda: skyward sword for $40
    &
    Metroid: Other M for $15
Also wii play motion for $30 with a motion plus wiimote

  • there are about 10 x kid icarus and 2 x zelda spirit tracks for this price at mackay canelands store

  • Just picked up Spirit Tracks at Macquarie, NSW. They also had Tetris and a few other things. Nothing 3DS though.

  • finally picked up a copy of Starfox, Tetris, had 4 copies left of spirit tracks at merrylands. Had lots of copies of other games going for $24.83 also, same with Liverpool

  • 2x Star Fox, 1x Spirit Tracks @ Mt Gravatt.

There were a few other games going for cheap, IE the Lego Games. I'd have got Lego LOTR but I've already completed it on PC haha.

I picked up Star Fox 64, gonna finally see what it's like.

  • There was heaps of copies of all those games at Liverpool, also make sure you ask staff because star fox wasn't on display but there was at least 10 copies in the drawer!

  • was 2 kid icarus copies left after i bought one at HORNSBY NSW
also a couple copies of star fox hidden away behind other games.

kid icarus was in the glass casing so had to get the guy to come get it out for me..
was marked at $65 but scanned at $24.95

  • These games are $14 at Target Chadstone.

  • managed to get kid icarus (last copy roselands), star fox (last copy burwood) and street fighter (lots of copies) for $14 each. Unfortunately Zelda sold out everywhere.

  • I picked up Kid Icarus (in the glass display cabinets, last one left) and Starfox (unmarked, had to hunt for it on the 3DS shelf) both for $14 at Target Fremantle. Not sure if they had any more Starfox.
