Reasonable price, not the lowest, was $99 from bing lee before.

    • +2

Hopefully they will deliver unlike Bing Lee who sends you an order confirmation then don't inform you when the order did not go through until the sale is over.

    • $99 is the store pick up price.

      • Presume online sale only as it's part of the dusk till dawn sale of today (6pm-8am), the $99 is just a before shipping price

$108 delivered is a great price for a decent jellybean tablet.

      MASSIVE deal breaker!

    • +2

Haha! I have one and i'm pretty sure it lasts longer than 3 hours whilst doing stuff!

  • Only 512Mb RAM..
    Ideally want 1Gb.

On HTC mobile phones, 512 MB -limits-
the number of app's you can install /
upgrade (so, to upgrade some app's,
      you need to Uninstall & ReInstall it;
'doesn't always let you ReInstall the
      upgrade…)

If you use it as, eg, a Skype phone +
book reader, etc. (ie, just a -few-
      app's) if might be OK.

Just don't assume you'll be able to do
-everything- you'd like to do, over its
      lifetime.

      • +2

That's ROM not RAM. And HTC phones haven't had 512mb of ROM since 2011.

      • +3

512 MB -limits the number of app's you can install

You're thinking of internal NAND flash memory. Scubacoles was refering to RAM, which is not where you install apps to.

This device has 8GB of NAND and most likely you would be able to utilize at least 1GB as app storage.

      • ^^They're right..
        RAM is for multi-tasking.
512Mb RAM means you can only simultaneously run a couple of apps 3-4 at most.
The system uses RAM, the launcher uses RAM so of your original 512Mb, you probably only have ~300Mb for Apps.

Long spec's list but no mention of the screen resolution.

    It is 1024x600.

    • glad i missed it.

Bought one from Bing Lee. Returned it. These are rubbish. Didn't think I'd care about the screen resolution but it's really bad. Lags too. Do not bother.

  • these tablets are poo poo, hence why they are always cheap. Bad resolution and UP TO 3 hrs battery? no thanks

  • Would this be a good candidate for a dash install in a car?

    • Is it really cheaper / better these days to buy a cheap tablet than a GPS unit? haha

    • +1

      Nah it's terrible, use a N7 instead.

  • I didn't post this 7hrs ago thinking people would hate "Centrecom" again… lol

    • A bargain is a bargain, people will decide if it's cheap enough to buy it from a place.

I'm happy with my Ainol, appears to be more enjoyable than Acer!

  • Dont know if its really that good a deal but the ainol novo7 crystal is $90 on shoppingsquare at the moment $20 postage to me from overseas.

Getting annoyed my old tablet's wifi drops out after 15 minutes. But I have jb cards for $200 so im waiting to see what happens at mid year sales otherwise i would probably considering getting one.
