      But it's the Octa-core version! 4g or 4 extra cores… Decisions decisions…

    • Unfortunately Yes, its the i9500 not the i9505.
      Yep its got the quad core Cortex-A15 @ 1.6GHz & Cortex-A7 @ 1.2GHz.

There is a Korean version that has both SHV-E300K/S…

      • There is a Korean version that has both SHV-E300K/S…

The Galaxy S2 HD LTE(Korean version) had 4G but it didn't work here which is probably the same as their octacore S4.

        • Not sure, but I heard the new LTE chip they put in has quad band? or something, so LTE could work here… have to check

  • Which do people think is better?
I am thinking the octa-core is better as I don't need to stream HD movies to my phone (and I aint in Telstra CBD anyway).
But maybe the battery life on the octa-core is worse???

    • The battery on the 'Octa' is marginally better than the Snapdragon based one, as it was designed with battery life in mind (4 high performance A15 cores, 4 economical A7 cores).
      Edit: Link

    • Heard the CPU is better with Exynos octa and GPU is better with Snapdragon Quad
Battery wise, technically Octa should last longer as it suppose to run A7 (low power) cores when you are not doing anything hard.

I am also thinking of getting this as there not much LTE signals in my area, and I'm not with Telstra so

    • Battery life should be very similar or depending on use, possibly even better with the Octa core as it has 4 low power cores for when not doing much. Octa core version (i9500) is faster overall but probably only really noticeable in benchmarks more than anything. Still, knowing you have a 8 core CPU in your new S4 would be a nice feeling. =p

However, you will get better XDA dev support on the Snapdragon (i9505) version as it is the one being released in most countries that have 4G. (US, Europe, Aus etc) But yeah, for those who don't really care about that, just decide on whether you want 4G or Octa-core. =p

  • Also, if you're not in a hurry, don't get it from this deal. 1-2 weeks? Prices may change by then.

    • You do realize its the Ad and not me saying that… lol
