Getting a tablet and thoroughly confused

Hello.

Am looking to get a tablet and was hoping to get some advice from the pros here as to how to get the best bang for my buck.

As it is, the tablet would mostly be used for:

  1. Watching videos (and therefore being able to copy files from my computer either through USB or an SD card would be good).

  2. Streaming live soccer games off certain websites (am i allowed to put in the link here?)

  3. Preferably able to download torrents direct

  4. The usual web browsing

3G isn't important to me.

Thanks in advance for your advice and suggestions guys.

    • Thanks for that link stew. Must have missed it. Looks good, but how does the tablet itself compare to say the Note 10"? Apart from price I mean, I did neglect to mention that I've got a work budget of up to $500 paid for (and probably ok with topping up a little).

      Thanks again.

      • Note has a digitized stylus which is very close to pen and paper, fast cpu and ram and better speakers. Also the Note (3G) can be used for calls/messages. The acer should be fast enough to run flash and has a very solid 7-9 hours battery life (from people who reviewed the tablet) however apparently when playing games it gets fairly hot at the back.

Cpu wise shouldn't be noticeable difference and ram would be mainly opening apps and keeping more apps in the background.

        • Thanks Deebs. Was wondering how important ram really was in a tablet if I don't foresee myself having too many open apps. Would you suggest any other tablets I could be looking at?
