    • I take it back. Got full refund. Thanks PayPal.

  • Clearly a scam. Even if not a scam, then possibly some of the worst service ever!

  • Damnit this is like the 3rd PayPal dispute I've had to file after buying something posted on OzBargain. Oh well, win some you lose some. Hope I get my $$ back.

    • did you get your money back from the previous paypal disputes?

      • So far yes (thank goodness). Still waiting on CompleteBaby refund.

        • +2

good to hear, hopefully we all can get our refunds from paypal or banks, i feel sorry for the guys who had direct debit, not cool, tough enough as it is bringing up a kid then you got this sh1t.

        • Got my refund from PayPal and I can confirm it went to my bank account. Phew!

  • still no refund from paypal :(

    • There's always the option of a chargeback through your bank if PayPal don't refund you. Check your dispute and make sure 1) it's been escalated and 2) when the date Paypal have given the seller to respond by - if you don't get a refund by the date (I opened my dispute yesterday for ex, and my date is June 5th) and PayPal don't refund you, take it up with your bank - PayPal dispute resolution is not the last and final say on the matter (although they'd like you to think they are!)

  • Wow this is terrible. I just lodged by paypal dispute, fingers crossed the refund comes through. I feel really bad for anyone that paid via direct deposit. I was looking for a way to downvote this deal some more or at the very least remove my upvote but I can't seem to find an option. Anyone?

Re: voting - you can go onto "votes" in the title bar and revoke your positive vote.

I'm struggling with this same dilemma. Whilst I've received a refund in full, a number of friends who I sent through the link to have handed over cash to paypal or done direct deposits and have so far seen nothing come back. This has left me feeling quite aggrieved and in search of retribution.

Through some investigation, I have the details of the Fairfield detectives Fenwick and Haran - who previously launched proceedings into Michael Munday's previous dealings, as well as Mr Munday's lovely wife Melissa's contact details, including a full list of her facebook friends (which have been subsequently hidden in the last week). Given that he is checking in here every other day and reading all of these messages, and yet seems content not to refund the many, many people who have launched disputes in paypal (in addition to the many likely people who are not even aware that he clearly has no intention of ever shipping product), it seems entirely reasonable to me to assume he has never had access to any stock, and has willingly defrauded hundreds of people, with no intention to ever refund unless compelled.

Ergo, I think I am fully within my rights to attempt to get into contact with him via his wife's 200+ facebook friends, who hopefully will find him more responsive than we have. I have a nagging inkling that such contact that could be quite damaging for the Munday family and am hence still debating my next move. Forward all collated evidence to NSW Police, or embark on a facebook enlightenment campaign?

      Thoughts of the OzBargain community?

      • I'm in the same situation. Sent it to friends, and how have to tell them "sorry about that, I recommended a scam to you, I hope you get your money back".
I don't have time for legal action, which is probably what the perpetrator of this scam was banking on. Also, I'm not in NSW so can't exactly step into a police station. But this should be reported, even if only to the ACCC, as it could involve $100,000s.

      • I think you should definitely pass on the police.

I also like the idea of the facebook enlightenment campaign. It wont help get anyone's $$ back but his 'friends' deserve to know what sort of person he is.
There seems to be enough evidence to be confident that fraud is being committed and that there's no mistaken identity, but probably best you use the word 'allegedly' at least once.

Thanks in advance for your efforts.

      • If he's a real scumbag, then I doubt he cares what others think of him. Do it!

  • My 10 days for my Paypal dispute ends on 30th May. Fingers crossed. Its good to know that your bank will help afterwards if nothing gets resolved.

    • any refund yet??

    • My 10 days also ended yesterday. Nothing happened so I called PayPal this morning and they "recovered" the funds.

Hope it works out like this for everyone else as well.

  • Wow this is what I get for not following this thread, I ordered a couple of boxes, and have not been able to contact the store, was starting to wonder where they were at so just checked this thread!

Thanks to those who have spent time looking into it, time to put in a dispute :/

  • The Michael Munday scam page has been updated.
PiperTard it might be worth your while to get into contact with the Munday page site owner and share info.

lets report this to Today Tonight, ACA ?

  • I placed my order on the 8th of May and haven't received it yet. Have emailed [email protected] on 19th May, and even though they say it's their "quickest form of contact", haven't had a reply yet. Tried calling their number today (28th of May) and as many people have mentioned, was taken straight to their answering machine.

My order number is #CB631232. Can someone from complete baby please confirm the status of this order?
I am expecting my newborn soon and was relying on these nappies as a starter pack. Would be a pity if this doesn't come through soon. I have started worrying now because it's been 20 days since my order was placed.

    • +1

If you used paypal, lodge a dispute now. Not one person has posted that they have received their order. There is pretty much no chance at all in receiving your order unfortunately given the posts by other members here.

      • Yes, just raised a PayPal claim after reading all the comments. Keeping my fingers crossed now :(

  • Looks like I've also been a victim of this fraudster. Lodged a PayPal dispute so hopefully I get my money back. There seems to be more of this happening lately of online traders (with decent websites) taking the money and not being able to provide the goods. Perhaps there's no penalty for this behaviour? Anyway I hope PayPal go after him, they should have enough evidence with the number of people lodging dispute cases.

Just rang paypal. Once the 10 days is up they will refund the money on 11th day. This is great news! :)

  • Same as others here… ordered but no emails from them. Tried to call and e-mail with no response. Lodged PayPal dispute today. Lucky I popped back on ozbargain to read comments here, I was wondering what was happening with.com nappies and car seat…

  • +6

Seeing as some buyers here aren't even aware that they got scammed by completebaby.com.au, shouldn't an OzBargain mod place a sticky announcement on the main page to inform them?

Thanks to those who did the initial research and alerted others on here.

I also bought nappies and am disgusted by the person who did this. Surely he can be brought to justice for carrying out this clear cut scam on honest families.

    • +1

Agree. The Rep even has the audacity to keep logging into their Ozbargain account almost daily (last login yesterday) yet doesn't even have the decency to post some sort of explanation.

      • I am sure he is laughing on us !!!

  • Still waiting for an order made on 12 May 2013…thanks to all the folks who alerted us to this scam.. paypal claim lodged..hoping for a positive outcome!

  • still waiting, ordered on the 9th may. I paid via credit card using paypal. cant raise a dispute with paypal, wont let me. anyone else have this problem? they emailed me saying one of my orders have been sent but still waiting over 2 weeks for that one.

    • Why does it not let you? I'd call paypal or do a chargeback straight away.

  • Because I used a credit card that was not linked to my account. Yeah I need to call paypal to do it because it won't let me do it online. I thought the prices were too good and free delivery! Hope this crim burns!

    • Yeah, the prices were a dead giveaway

      • lol, ain’t nobody got time for that!

  • Lodged a dispute with my bank, they say it can take unto 60 days!

  • Lodged a dispute with Paypal and spoke to a rep who said after the 10 period, they will refund amount back to my account/credit card. So thankfully that will happen in the next few days… will keep you posted.

  • Dispute raised with paypal, hopefully I see my $180 soon. Lol, too scared to purchase what I need online now. Think I'll just purchase my high chair and nappies the old fashioned way.

    • Tip for high chair: http://www.mocka.com.au/wooden-high-chair.html
(Got one a year ago - I actually received it)

      • thanks for the tip. Reasonable deal off $120 RRP but I have a feeling most ozbargainers will go for the $25 ikea option! http://www.ikea.com/au/en/catalog/products/40157918/

that's what I decided to go for anyway, and then got it for the best price possible..free!!. I love hard rubbish

        • The Ikea one is great, I have them for my twin boys, and you can't beat the price!

        • Nice high chair, I wanted a reclining one though…..if your baby falls asleep while eating it comes in handy to just recline it and let him sleep :)

  • My Paypal case resolved today and received a full refund, hope this is the same for all others

    • nice. thanks for the update.

so what it as soon as the 10 day reply time was up??

  • +1

Day 11 of my paypal dispute and nothing had happened. So I called them and they actioned the refund while I was on the phone to them

  • +1

I too got a full refund on Day 11 from Paypal. Hope this is the same for everyone else.

  • +1

I got a full refund too, 11th day

  • +1

Yep refund on 11th day from paypal too :D

  • +1

yep me too, full refund 11th day

  • Lookin good. Full refund here too on day 11

  • Full refund as well.

  • guys, when you all say full refund, have you received the fund yet?
i received an email on day 11 saying I will receive the refund, but it may take 5 days.
Then there is a sentence in the email saying only if they have sufficient fund….

    • Haven't received the refund to my account yet but the response from Paypal was "We were able to recover $144.01 AUD, and this amount has been credited to you." I take this to mean the refund has been secured.

      • +1

Refund was on my CC this morning.

    • Paypal refund was back on my card late yesterday. Not bad considering the dispute was resolved on the weekend

      • I got my refund back on my card today. Thank you.
Sorry I may have raised worries to others..

  • I originally made two orders. I emailed their customer support initially when nothing arrived. As like many others here they emailed back saying they had shipped the items.

I lodged a dispute with Paypal to request a refund. Immediately it was escalated by Paypal.

Now to break it to my friends who I had referred.

  • Dispute lodged and escalated through Paypal for $468 worth of nappies. Day 11 called up Paypal, and was refunded immediately as the seller hadn't responded. Order placed 14th may, dispute lodged 22nd.

I feel sorry for those paying with direct transfer.

  • +1

I got an email from paypal on the weekend saying case closed and to expect my $319 soon. I think it was the 10th day since claim lodged. $$ not in bank yet but paypal website says it may take up to 7 days to appear.

I wonder what will actually come of all this for Mr Mundy. Do paypal take the matter to the cops?

  • sweet, paypal have advised they will be making a refund, although they also wrote:

"If the seller's account has insufficient funds to complete the refund owed
to you, please be assured that we will take appropriate action against the seller's account, which may include limitation of the seller's account privileges."

does that mean, if completebaby have taken out the funds already i will not receive the refund?

    .

    • Everyone gets the same email disclaimer and so far no issues with funds being credited. Hopefully the refunds keep rolling in

    • I think you need to read that paragraph in context with the previous one, being:

If you are due any additional funds, we will make our best effort to
recover the balance from the seller

  • So after the 10 days there's nothing you can do about it to get your money back? I paid with credit card through paypal. I ordered when I first saw this post and thought I'd give the seller the benefit of doubt but now seems like they are not responding to anything!!

    • Contact your bank and request a chargeback. They normally will accept that.

  • I'm still waiting for my nappies that I ordered on 15th may. I've tried to call and no answer, I left a message and no one has called back. I have also emailed and still no response. I done it via PayPal, what the 10day thing everyone is on about, looks like I will be applying for a refund too :-(

    • once you start the dispute and escalate to a claim the seller has 10 days to respond. After 10 days paypal should/will refund your $$$.

  • sister ordered some and never got them, had to charge back on the cc

  • Are people still getting their money back via PayPal? getting worried I've put my dispute in too late

    • Got mine over the weekend, put my dispute in on 26/5 if that helps.

  • Hi Rep (Complete Baby)
I just want to know the status of my order #CB632750. Can you please reply to my emails(latest one sent 5 minutes ago) or phone messages so I know the atleast something is happening with my order? Please get back. This will give me an idea about how many I should buy from local shops to keep going till I receive them from you.

    • You're joking right? Read the posts above. If you haven't done so already, raise a dispute with Paypal. I got my money back on the 11th day after raising the dispute.

    • cmon dude, you had been served! i mean scamm!! get you money asap whether via cc chargeback or paypal, do it now before it is too late

    • No one has gotten their order, the rep hasn't logged in since May 28th, lodge a claim for refund now

  • Got an email from PayPal that they recovered the funds and will be credited to my cc in 5 days. Raised the dispute on the 30/5/13. This is a scam. This guy will be making $$$ just on the interest.

  • Finally received refund from paypal - looks like 11 days is the magic number

  • +1

    parked domain now!
    scam

  • +1

have reported this to ACCC so others are aware, not that it will do anything.

    Pay-pal will refund money.

They said they are aware of this retailer now, as they are getting complaints, but will not automatically refund money - you need to contact them.

  • I emailed him today and got a reply, not a very nice one, but it looks like he is checking this one:

    [email protected]

    • Maybe it was because I called him a bad name hahah

  • Holly crap,
We have been wondering where our Nappies were. Only just decided to check this thread to see its a scam.
Just lodged my dispute with Paypal.

  • I received my refund through Paypal so obviously still funds there. I hope this guy gets bad karma.

  • Just got my Paypal refund too
