  • 250GB extra of memory? Did you mean hard disk space?

    • amended, cheers

  • Be wary of Acer's cashback. You have a short one week window to claim and eligibility is by SKU part number and not the Model number. Imaging Apple advertising a cashback on the iphone 5 but you have to check each phone's SKU to see if it qualifies. Absurd to say the least.

      MSY:

      Name: Acer E1-571G-33114G75Mnks (NX.M0DSA.004) i3-3110M/4GB/750GB/15.6"/DVDRW/Win8SE/1G GT620M

      Acer:

      NX.M0DSA.004 27 Nov 2012 30 Jun 2013 $99 Aspire E1-571G-33114G75Mnks $99 Cashback (N912)

      Looks legit to me…

Actually it's 14 days to redeem the cashback, which is plenty of time, unless you're completely useless. The final check is not done by SKU, but by serial number. You can easily get the correct numbers to check if you can be bothered, then put them into http://ec3.acer.com.au/AcerCashBack/ACA/Projects/CashBack/Lo….

I've redeemed dozens of Acer cashbacks without a problem, though they do take quite a while to process them as a rule.

      • How would one check these numbers before purchasing the computer?

  • Just picked this up yesterday. For anyone interested Centrecom will not price match it. Also, be aware of the hoops you have to jump through for the 'cash back' (lots of forms, sending stuff away, 8 weeks of waiting before being emailed a 'prepaid debit card' with $99 on it). Its still cash-back essentially, just a bit of extra effort to get it
