Functionality seems good, can anyone comment on sound quality?
Sound quality is good. I have the SMC1, same product without airplay and lcd
I bought the SMC1 refurb for $70 (shipped) from Pioneer
I have this exact model and find it a big lacking in base. Apart from the size (it's a little wider than the pictures let on) it's a fairly good unit.
Btw -I have not noticed the 30 min timeout issue noted in these comments, and I have streamed airplay longer than 30 mins.

you can check the discount code by add item to cart then click checkout and apply the code and see the Total price has changed.This unit does not specify which Apple Dock it has 30pin or Lightning… so I assume 30pin as pics have iPhone 4(s) docked.

I used mine for a recent party, was using airplay for well over 6 hours

I got one from Catch of the day about 6 months ago for $129
Highly recommended and given that they sell at over 250 at Jb this is a good deal.I got the CotD one too. Only drawback is extremely long startup time (almost a minute). If it was one radio it plays straight away but all you can do is change volume until it's on. It auto-offs after about 10 mins if nothing is playing on AirPlay which I like, pause tunes and it'll turn off after a while. Doesn't turn off while playing.
A little annoyance is unintuitive UI, it takes AGES to type in a long or complicated WiFi password.
Any comments on the wireless dlna streaming? I,ve tried a couple of dlna players in the past, but have gone back to the old squeezebox
