HELP! Recommendations for a cheap laptop/notebook!

Hello :)
I was wondering if you guys could help on finding a decent laptop/notebook for around $200 mark? It will only be used for internet browsing and video streaming.
The only requirements I can think of are a decent screen size, satisfactory speed, and fuss free!
I'm not too much of tech person, and I just don't keep up with whats good in the market haha
Ideas on which stockists to buy from are welcomed as well :)
Thanks in advance :)

  • Probably you can look at refurbished laptops..

I've never bought from them but got this website from a quick search..

  • I think for that price range you are looking at private 2nd hand for anything reasonably decent. Does it have to be a laptop? If you aren't going to take it outside the house there are plenty of older desktop computers which of the same price range and vintage will be much faster and able to stream video and be able to expand as you can afford it i.e. put a better graphics card in, more memory, SSD etc.

    • Other option is to get a tablet. It will still browse the web, watch youtube etc. and it plugs into a HDMI television.

But otherwise, there are plenty of secondhand lenovo laptops floating around on the interwebz (eBay, Gumtree) that are in fairly good condition (ex-government, ex-university machines)

  • I wouldnt buy a second one when $100 or so more get a new one
It will cost you more $100 have it fixed up or re-imaged.
Just watch ozbargain for a week or so and one will pop up like the following
