Just ordered a pair of original rayban wayfarers off amazon, for $85, or $103 including shipping. Currently about $50 cheaper than what they sell in stores.

      This seems to apply strictly to clothing only unfortunately. It doesn't work with the sunnies but discounted a pair of shorts I added to my order as a test.

          Thanks for your comment it made me go back and have another try. For this product you actually have to sign up to the shoes email not fashion (weird right?). It mentions this in the "Special Offers and Product Promotions" section of the product page.

      Why would hipsters prefer these? Wayfarers have never gone out of style and are popular with every demographic. There's zero social capital to be gained by wearing these. They're just good, solid sunnies from a reputable brand.

      As long as you buy them from Amazon and not a different supplier through Amazon they will be fine. I have bought both RB2132 (polarized) and RB4141 through Amazon and they have both been authentic complete with box packaging.

    For those unaware, RayBan was sold 5 or 6 years ago. Since then the design of the Wayfarer changed for the first time in 60 years. For those looking for that vintage look, you'll need to look for vintage wayfarers. I only make this comment because I'm a big fan myself!

    It is also now made in Italy as opposed to USA.

        Yeah I'm pretty sure 2140s are the 'original'.The 2132s are new and slightly more rounded.

          Nah, the originals don't have the "Ray-Ban" written garishly on the side. The original design was done by B&L. The only "ray-ban" branding would be in print on the inside arm. B&L should be on the lens very feign from the front on the right.

    I would recommend people try the 2140s in store before buying, they are really really tiny. I don't have a big face (IMO) but to me they were extremely tiny.

    I personally got the larger 60mm lens, which look great even if you have a slightly small face.
