This is a good price. $20 cheaper than next competitor according to StaticIce and free shipping too.

      http://staticice.com.au/cgi-bin/search.cgi?q=gtx680+gigabyte…

The first one is Ex-Demo card, not brand new, and also it's a slower version GV-N680OC-2GD. The one we sell is the super overclock version.

So we beat the cheapest price on staticice for $46 + Free Shipping + Reward points + No credit card surcharge.

It's about 5% faster than GTX670 in most games.

    • Gtx680 is a beast, probably 4th fastest card on the planet, behind gtx690 and titan and ati 7970.

  • Does this card have "eyefinity" feature like AMD?

    • Yes it does.

    • -3

its real name is sli :P

SLI = Scalable Link Interface: multiple cards coordinating tasks for increased performance.

        CrossfireX: AMD equivalent.

Eyefinity: AMD's tech relating to multiple monitors.

Nvidia 3D Surround: Essentially the Nvidia equivalent of Eyefinity, but with 3D thrown in. Generally considered inferior for 2D.

    3 Slotter. That's some size….

Nice price, but that's one ugly card (imo anyway)

    • Waaaait a sec, why the heck are you judging a graphics card by how it looks in the first place…

  • +7

This is that stupid card with the four or five 40mm fans on it.

Reviewers said it was quieter than expected, but still louder than other cards.

    40mm fans = Wouldn't touch it.

The fan noise on this card would be unbearable. Also, this design of putting fans on the side means your case would need to have a side panel fan configured to suck the hot air coming out of the GPU's 4 fans.

    • Or get a raven RV02-E and blow the hot air in the direction it wants to go, up :)

Three slots! I'm no electronic engineer so I'm really confused as to why GPUs keep getting bigger. Ok there is more cooling going on than in the past, but surely there is some way to make them more space efficient. Excluding your ATX motherboard (and your case) a GPU is the single largest component in the computer in terms of physical size. I find it sort of annoying when it comes to cable management and generally finding space for extra stuff in the computer (sound/bluetooth PCI cards etc).

    • The blocking of expansion slots shits me more and more as time goes on.

    • 1536 cuda cores may be why….

sounds like msy beats the price on asus one for $459 this saturday..OMG

  • I can't wait until GPUs start using standard cooling sockets like CPUs. Will probably see hell freeze over first though… *le sigh

Will I be able to install this card to my Chromebook?

    • +5

Like fitting an elephant into a chihuahua, no problem.

The internet has taught me that anything's possible……. with enough lube

This super-over-clocked version seems powerful yet bigger than standard ones.

I used one before and it was much quieter than I expected.

Anyway, it is a good price for a big and fast video card.

Do you think my 200W PSU is overkill for this GPU?

  • Can this GPU play Crysis and Benny Hill music at the same time?

  • interesting timing given the 780's are coming next week

  • Thought buyers would like to know — the upcoming GTX 770 is actually just a rehased GTX 680.

All it takes is a BIOS upgrade… and a new sticker.

    http://semiaccurate.com/2013/05/13/you-can-upgrade-an-nvidia…

So yeah, bit like the time when they simply renamed the 9800+ => GTS 250.

    • amd and nvidia need to release series of new cards this year as they normally did every year, but this time around there's nothing new, dx11-cuda-physx they all last year, so they just rebadged the 600s. even so what would the next gen 800s will bring next year? dx12? kinda look forward to it though.
