TW 75 Steel Watch- Grandeur Diver Black Dial 48mm $205.50 Inc Shipping

60

Not too dissimilar to this earlier deal; http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/91388, but $13 more expensive this time around (x-rate difference?) $200 + $5.50 shipping to QLD, unsure about other destinations.

Too bad there's not 45mm deal, 48mm is quite large.

Edit: it's at Peters of Kensington, same shop as with the last deal.

  • TW newbie here, how is TW as a brand? is it considered to be like a Tag Heuer or more like a Seiko/Citizen?

    • They only make really large oversized watches with quartz movements so I'd say it's probably below Seiko/Citizen. Seem to do quite well with branding and marketing though

      • TW Steel do make automatics as well.
Never had one of their automatics, so I can't comment on those though.

For the price they are great, had mine a year, and it's still 100% and no damage.

  • never heard of them but they appear to be $365 on Amazon

    oversized 48mm dial?

no thanks, I do not liking wearing a clock on my wrist.

    • +3

A watch is basically a small clock with a wrist band attached.

  • Initially, my mind was thinking "IWC" or Tissot when I saw the "T" and "W" LOL, sorry still have a hangover from too much drinking last night at an office party…

    • IWC….

      • IWC is a very famous swiss watch company from the town of Shauffhausen. Their watches are very highly regarded, much sought after and normally sell for thousands more than anything TW steel makes.

I own a TW steel watch. They are fashion watches. The style is big thick faces with big dials. The mechanics inside are not what you are paying for but they are solidly made.

Price is pretty good. I bought for around the same price at Peter of Kensington last time.

  • Wonder if they are heavy as hell……

    • They are not light. But for an oversized watch, you would expect it to be heavy.

  • this watch is only $187 if you pop into their shop at kensington
bought one today, they have a couple left

  • I have two TW Steels (CEO Canteen and a TW84). They are well made and great for a casual thrash around watch.
This is a fantastic price for a 48mm TW Steel.
