As a long term E522 owner, I will just give this bit of advice once here…DO NOT even think about buying one of these F&P upside down models, they are simply awful!!!

Feel free to search OzB for my past comments on the matter; or a quick google for others in the same boat…hell, mine was first grade, brand new & it was a PITA; I'd hate to think what a second or refurb with only 12mths warranty would be like.

Do you deliver to scrap metal yards? Because that's the only place F&P junk should end up.

Had a F&P dual dish drawer dishwasher. It broke down constantly. Avoid.

My out-laws used to run a Retravision, they had a massive pile of crapped-out dishdrawer units sitting out the back shed. Even a cockroach getting into the electronics would kill the things, lol.

Really? Mum loves f and p and when you go into Harvey Norman and good guys always say it is one of their top brands….

    • Same
My mothers simpson washer (rusted out)
Every store I went too advised the F&P
      Washers

So they can make more money from repeated purchases. Gone are the days when electrical appliances are built to last for decades.

Lol, its unbelievable how gullible some people are isn't it? Trusting salesman to advise the most reliable brand. Conflict of interest much?

Some people just lap up any bs that's fed to them. Probably the ones that suckered by Nigerian scams….

        • Really? Electrical appliances used to last decades?

Well, maybe my grandmother's Panasonic am/sw radio, but that'd be about it!

        • My grans twin tub is so working from whenever they where around, and dad has an old crt tv from the 80s in his shed that he uses!

        • Really? Electrical appliances used to last decades?

Damn straight!!! I've got appliances that I can guarantee are much older than you are zo1dberg! ;)

        • Such as? And are they still in use?

        • My 20 year old fridge still works fine. Low noise.

        • Yep, 30+ yo Hoover Ensign dryer & Westinghouse fridge still powering on nicely! :)

  • +1

My 6 year old F&P fridge is great, it has never broken down.

    • +2

You can be lucky. Their fridges are famous for being unreliable. A couple of friends have had nightmare experiences with them.
Salesmen's recommendation on anything is never to be believed. Do your research before shopping.

It wasn't luck, I looked around for quite a while before deciding on F&P.
Never assume anything. I don't know how you thought I decided on buying it from a salesman talking me into it.
I actually got it on ebay 2nd hand.

          Never assume anything.

…like assuming that your lucky experience is the norm, when anecdotal evidence suggests that it clearly isn't! ;)

        • People are always more likely to write a review of a product when they have a bad experience.

        • Where there's smoke, usually, there's fire…

  • +2

Have had nothing but bad experiences with F&P products. Junk.
