Seems a good deal, but do they trade in with Samsung washer or just the one from LG?

    • +1

As far as I can tell, it seems like they will accept literally any similarly sized washing machine. Let me know if you can find otherwise.

    • +9

Pretty sure its just a marketing gimmick.

Most places would offer the pick up and disposal of your old machine anyways. But instead of disposal, its a "TRADE IN"

      • +1

Do you think they will let me access the deal if I have nothing to trade?

        • +6

Get a free/ broken one from Gumtree?

        • +2

I just got a TV from LG and was going to trade my current 4k tv. I picked up a broken 55in Kogan tv from the footpath during council pick up and traded that instead. No issues.

    I have a 12kg version, it’s bullet proof

    • +19

Have you tried shooting at it? Or is it in the spec sheet?

    • +1

You may not need a new one!

  • Bummer, just graduated and my student email doesn't work anymore :(

      Congratulations
First lesson out of uni: disappointment.

    • You get alumni email address though!

      • Depends on your uni. The crap uni I went to canned alumni email accounts years ago.

  • I bought this one and a heat-pump dryer from the last deal. So far, no complain. Its been great. It does the works queitly.

    • Can you link me to the deal for the heat-pump dryer? Even though it is over, I just want to check it out.

    • Yeah washer dryer combo is asking for trouble.

but the washer in this line is up there…

      just ROCK solid and quiet.

I've never seen a productreview review that is positive.

    • +5

No one goes on those sites to give positive reviews lol

    • Can you even find a washer with good reviews on that site? Let alone any appliance

    • +2

The site should be renamed to productcomplaint.

      • There should be a site to review product longer term ownership (after the warranty period is over).

    • Those ppl would find fault with a 20oz gold nugget falling into their possesion.

i bought one of these for a tennant of mine, but it was the series 5..rock solid..it's done 300 plus washes without skipping a beat.

  • Anyone able to check if they do similar for dryers? Current one packed up and am after another heat pump dryer

  • is there a difference from this the machine of this deal https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/920085
    other than the colour?

  • Got one thanks OP!
Missed the last deal. My current 7kg LG washer dryer is now 17yrs old. Surprisingly lasting this long but the washing is giving grief so needed a replacement.

  • Can I stack my 8kg heat pump dryer on top of this

  • Good deal but the reviews seem kinda bad?

    • lmao I bought it anyway my top loader is like 15 years old and a front loader fits better in the space I have

  • Any other bonus discounts on dishwashers?

  • I cannot seem to get the $100 trade in discount

    • Yes I couldn’t find this option any suggestions

      • Looks like Melbourne Sydney only.

        • Showed up for me at checkout for brisbane

    • You need to log into the LG Members. Trade in is members only

    • The trade-in option depends on the delivery area. It’s only available in areas near the city and won’t show up in more remote locations.

  • +2

My LG WD11020D bought new in 2010, is still going 15 years strong. Hasn't missed a beat.

  • Current owners, does this have the option to do Spin Only or Rinse Only cycles?

    • +2

I have the 9kg version. To do spin only, when you turn it on, do not select a wash program. Press the spin button and then select the spin speed from there.

    • Yes..

      Just select no wash program

or go into the APP..and create a custom program and upload it to the download cycle button on the machine.

though not sure why you would want spin only… cause trust me

SHIT WILL COME OUT DRY AS HECK on this it does 1400rpm towels are nearly ready to be folded they so dry

  • How to register?
"You’re not eligible for this program."

    • +2

You need an education email address i.e. …@xxx.edu.au

Waiting for my 7kg LG front loader to die. 21 years and counting! Only had to replace the rubber seal once in that time. Dunno how the current models stack up build quality wise.

    • SAME!
I bought mine from a deal on OzBee 7 years ago. The L from the LG is missing but it's great. The rubber seal is turning black and I want to replace it but not sure how.
I think I'll save my $700 but I'm sure when I need a deal, it won't come along.

  • Bought 12kg one but ez dispense woukd use up all of the liquid every single wash. Returned under warranty

  • +1

I wouldn’t recommend this model or LG. I had it and it kept leaking until unusable, and LG was a nightmare every time a serviceable replacement was needed. They are probably now scrambling to get rid of them.
Detailed my experience better here: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/924193

    • Maybe yours was just an anomaly. Most seems fine with this and going strong. Plus it's top rated on Choice.

    • Have been using LG washers for decades, very happy

    • X doubt

  • +1

How do you get the trade in bonus?

    • Seems to depend on your postcode if it shows up or not
