Please note all … PALSONIC, not to be confused with Panasonic. For a sub 40" TV I'd say this is pretty meh for a sub-par brand.

Do you have any links to stores selling this TV at similar prices?

Far better off buying an Aldi 39" - they retail at about this price for the 39", and stick a DVD player with it for $50 - or a blu-ray for that matter, still end up with better quality.

      • All Aldi stores I have been to are sold out of the 39".

Also, some rooms benefit a lot from a built in player. I have 5 flat screens at my place. 1 has a built in blu ray (Teac) and one a built in DVD (small Aldi unit). Both due to wanting to have no seperate player taking up space. Been a massive improvement to our house. Also have a third TV with all the devices in a cupboard with a remote extender, so I can see the value for these all in one units.

Just a shame that most combo TV/DVD's are second rate brands.
