Best value vacuum cleaner? Perth retail

hi all,

i need to buy a vacuum cleaner TODAY some has to be somewhere retail in perth. my relationship depends on it!

vacuum cleaners seem to be one of the pet hobbies of ozbargainer's and there is always lots of detailed responses to vacuum bargains so i thought there might be some experts who can help me out with where the best place to buy a good value cleaner is in perth. have to buy from store due to deadline. i want a bagless, don't mind spending up to 500 for a good unit, but searching for specials or whatever on google doesn't give me much heads up.

is it best to go to godfreys or some other specialist or to go to a big chain like good guys? And anyone know of any current vacuum specials that are worth a look?

    Godfreys always have specials so its worth checking them out

    My favourite vacumm from China but they had shop in Marrickville Nsw , its cost ~ $90 with 2800 watt and do most of the jobs.

    check HN for special got the DC39 Animal for 697 the other day but if that is too high then get the DC29 as the other poster suggested (spend the extra $105 on the turbine head :) ).

    Don't buy cheap chinese $99 machines! Spend proper money and get a proper machine, not a Dyson. Hoover have machines that will get 10 times the dirt of any dyson on the planet, also dyson have there own sized fittings which you can't get anywhere easily. When mine broke I had to pay a fortune for a new floor tool for it, where as a combo floor tool for everything other than dyson is between $15 and $40.
