Good price - though not quite as good as the recent Dick Smith deal at 448 :)

I just trying to order an EOS M Adaptor which with 20% of should be 119 - which is cheapest I've seen

    • That adaptor's retail in the US is $200USD. Funny, eh? Snagged it myself for the exact same reason as you!

      • Any chance to post a direct link to the EOS M Adaptor ?
For some reason search does not work for me. Cheers.

        • go to any eos camera then click on accessories. there is no direct link

Given the unpopularity of the camera I think the price will continue to dive…

    • I'd disagree - seems to have been heaps sold - yes the AF is slow but aside from that it's a great bit of kit.

Well worth the $448 I paid for the camera, flash and 2 lenses; plus the flexibility to add my EF and EF-S lenses if I fancy

      • Autofocus using the touch screen is pretty reasonably compared to using it traditionally. It's my C camera (60D, 50D, EOS M), but I love it for street shooting.

Yeah, Dick Smith cleared its stock at the $448 price point (after cash back), which is about what the camera is worth given the slow AF and the competition out there. I see this camera having the same fate as the Pentax K01, J1/V1 in terms of price going forward. It's a good camera (like the K01), just severely overpriced.

        • Similar - my arsenal is 7D, 50D, EOS M and my trusty S95 for quick snaps

    • Canon EOS M and Pentax K-01 did not receive much credit from old school photographers as they do not have mirrors and OVF's.
The ones who still use their iPads for taking photos are not interested in them either.
So you can get an excellent deal on those wonderful cameras (I reckon at or very close to prime cost price).
They have a bit slower autofocus but otherwise they are really worth their money as per the recent sales.

Both cameras are wonderful and very well built with good sensors and controls.

  • Canon Web site is not working properly.
They definetly should hire better Web designers.

  • This or Sony NEX-F3? I am torn between them…

  • I have a Nikon D3200, is it worth getting rid of it and get the EOS M?

  • Just in case people do not read nested comments.
Any chance to post a direct link to the EOS M Adaptor ?
For some reason search does not work for me. Cheers.

    • There's no link. You would have to go to EOS M camera, go to Accessories tab, and on the 2nd page there's the adaptor with Add to Cart next to it.

Sorry I didn't see your message earlier. The sale has now finished ><

  • There is a few of these around at stores left and very limited at Dicksmith. QLD, Mandurah WA, and maybe Belmont.
Last day for cash back is tomorrow. Definitely call the store beforehand. Brings the price to $448 after cashback.
I dealt with Dicksmith a alot today which is in the forum. They ordered one from QLD for me despite one of the stores I could've gone to was stocked.
