        I'm tempted, but I haven't heard too many good things about aluminum tripods. I think it's probably best to invest in something more sturdy, possibly even shell out the coin for a carbon fiber one.

  Paid $100 delivered for one this time last year (cheapest price at the time). Good tripod overall if you want something lightweight and compact enough for a small suitcase. But its "photo/video" head doesn't pan smoothly enough for video, and the "ball head" version is probably better for stills, because it can be difficult to tighten the wheel on the photo/video head without unintentionally shifting its position slightly and having to readjust.

  I read a bunch of reviews that all say this is terrible for video, the head makes noise when you move it and it will be picked up by the audio, and also it is just not smooth at all when panning.

  Does anyone know another tripod of the same height as this one, which would be good for video, lightweight and under $100?

    The difference from the MKC3-H02 is that it folds 2cm longer, it goes up to 142cm instead of 154cm, and it is 120grams heavier.

    $79 is also an amazing price for this model. I just ordered one.
