Fifa 13 PS3 1 for $44.00 or 2 for $40 at JB Hi-Fi Nunawading

41

Got this as a part of their 2 games for $40 offer. The website doesn't list this game as one of the options but it was marked in store as such.

I didn't actually purchase 2 copies of the same game, but just highlighting this store had Fifa 13 as part of the 2 games for $40 offer.

  • If you haven't already got it, makes sense to wait for it a bit more and try to get it cheaper when FIFA 14 is out in September

Doubt you'll find it cheaper than $20

      • Not for console, but it was 5$ a key not long ago for PC.

      • Not yet…

    • +1

Not really, already been confirmed the 360, PS3 & PC version will be FIFA 13 with new roster, Need a PS4/Xone for the new engine and proper 14.

So, buy one game for $44, or two for $40. Will have to think about that one.

    • My wife said, "Why do you want to order two" !!!!

      • +3

That confirms that there at least one person in the world that loves JV !

  • What+ other games are available for the two for $40 that aren't listed on their website?

  • +1

I think that's an error from that store, their 2 for $40 games are always marked at $24.98 each. Someone in the store may have accidently marked the wrong game with the sticker, so when you took it to the counter they just honoured it anyway.

It's not listed as 2 for $40 online, so this one gets a neg from me for being a pricing error.

    • Can't call it a pricing error when it was approved. The girl at the till questioned the pricing and her manager said it was fine. It may be a store specific special. By the way the store was nunawading.

      • I dunno, I think that the 2 for $40 sticker was added in error, so they decided to approve the purchase for you and own their mistake (doing the right thing by the customer). But the next thing the manager did was probably asking someone to take all the stickers off any other copies of the game.

I think that it would be highly unlikely for anyone else to be able to get the same deal at another JB store. You got an awesome deal here, and that's great for you, but I don't think it counts here if no one else can get it too. Even if people tried to price-match elsewhere we'd need a receipt (maybe you could upload it for us?)

I may be wrong, and if this is actually a store-specific deal or a really odd pricing update then I'll gladly revoke my vote.

        • I will upload the receipt when I get home. If it helps anyone then well and good.

        • What's wrong with this site?

You don't know if this is store specific. You don't know if it's a mistake.

As far as it looks this is a good deal.

What enjoyment do people get in negging people that are just sharing what may be of benefit to others.

          It's a real turn-off.

People with common sense and that think logically. These people are good.
If these people weren't on ozbargain, this place would run rampart with more questionable crap then it already has.

You might be turned off by them, but they are turned off by people posting things that shouldn't be posted.

They follow the rules and question the questionable. These are good qualities in posters.

Especially when he gave far reasoning to his neg, not just "no deal" with a neg, those people turn me off.

          @davedrastic

No, I don't know for sure it's store specific or a mistake, but from the info we have I can be 99% sure that it is.

          • It's not on their website, and JB almost always offers the same deals online and in-store (obviously excluding online-only deals).
          • Considering how insanely cheap this is, you'd think they'd at least put it online or advertise it a little more. Hell, it's even cheaper than their copies of FIFA 12 at $30.
          • A manager had to approve the price in the store, this means it didn't scan up as part of the 2 for $40 deal.
          • It's not marked at a logical price, all their other 2 for $40 games are marked at $24.98. Why would they price it at $44 each but 2 for $40.
          • No one else has posted about having gotten this same deal yet.

As for the price, this is a good deal. But based off the information it is not going to be available for anyone else.

I get no enjoyment from negging something that may be of benefit to others, but I think my neg is a helpful way to warn others that this deal may not be widely available. If I'm right and it was a one-off error then this post has no place on OzBargain. However, I'd hope that people who look at this deal would read my comments and hopefully avoid disappointment/wasted trips by at least calling their local store first.

          I like you.
Can we be friends? Please :)

      • She questioned the price to the point of the manager being asked? More likely a price error that they said yes too.

  • +1

I think the store may have confused it for FIFA street which is on the 2 for 40 list. Was @ jb shoppingtown and didn't see this price

  • I work at JB and I can tell you now that, that was a stuff up by the store. Fifa 13 has never been in the 2 for $40, they were just nice enough to let you have it. Most of the time we get customers peeling off those stickers and placing them on games not part of that deal, so usually if it's not part of the deal you don't get it otherwise everyone would do it.
