OK - first I made a Lego ID (using my kids real details)

Then got Coupon from the deal link. Used fake details. No need for real details or email addie.

Once you key in the coupon code, you are "subscribed" on that Lego ID, so you don't need the code again.

It installs a EXE file to run the game. Only 600KB or so.

I got up to selecting the player, and clicked "next" and the computer lost all video (black screen) and would not respond (not even to CTRL+ALT+DEL). Had to reboot.

So I am posting this now, and am about to log in again to see if it works a 2nd time

    • I believe its the Unity Player , i think this is their official link http://unity3d.com/webplayer/

    • OK - it worked the second time

There is a HEAP of data being downloaded to run this - I hope it caches the images and music and stuff, because otherwise this is a bandwidth killer!

It lags pretty badly on this machine, which is an old Pentium 4 single core 2.66GHz with 2GB or RAM. I'd say it'd have to better on a 1/2 decent machine.

  • +1 free game - a billion because this game looks very boring

It's dreadful for me on this machine… far too laggy.

Seems to be the standard Lego game concept of shoot > collect > shoot > collect. But it has a backpack, so it's also a bit like Dora The Explorer

      LOL

Yeah but you're running a P4. You're lucky it runs at all.

Games often cater to the lowest expected machine spec. You're way worse than that!

        • Yeah I know. But the P4 will easily play a proper "non-internet" version of a Lego game.

I wrote it because many kids inherit old machines like this P4, and they'd be super disappointed if Lego Batman, Indy, Star Wars etc worked but this didn't.

Personally I think the concept of online for this kind of game is a bit stupid… it uses a huge amount of bandwidth that is not really necesaary. Online connectivity, yeah… but not downloading all the textures, maps, etc each time. Ugghhhh.

  • Have been playing this for a while, apart from my sluggish net, its a lot of fun. Thanks OP.
