Philips HS8060 Wet Nivea Electric shaver $102.87 @ David Jones

61

Philips HS8060 wet shaver at David Jones Glen Waverley for $102.87 on clearance section. RRP $299.

At least 7 left of this discontinued model that is similar to higher end RQ series but older model.

Asked store rep and he mentioned there are also more than 10 at Southland and Doncaster store. Possibly other stores as well.

First post, so apologies if its not the best of deals like the Target one for $20….

  • For shavers, you're much better off getting the equiv model from Amazon
    like this
    http://www.amazon.com/Philips-Norelco-HS8420-Nivea-Razor/dp/…

I've had a similar model razer as the one in the post. The Nivea bit is a wank. It was decent (light, water proof & decent time between re-charges, worked fine OS with different votlages), but not very good on longer whiskers
(e.g. 2 days). The local (oz) spares are very very expensive (heads/blades $90). From Amazon they same heads were $30. But I decided to buy a new (better) shaver (from Amazon) earlier on this year for $105…the RRP in Oz is $400, cheapest were $300.

Philip in Oz are very cheeky in that they change the model numbers to be different to other parts of the world, so we don't compare the prices. Up to you, but I'd check Amazon for a price first.

    • I don't disagree with what you're saying about prices of replacement bits etc, but the shaver you linked to is not even close to equivalent of the OP.

What might be good is to buy the shaver from DJ's and replacement parts from Amazon

  • Anybody know a shaver that will maintain a short stubble?
Been looking for a while but not sure what to get….that and I am a bit sick of the clean shaven look.
