yeah….$30 or $29.99 is probably the price they go to now when on special……
nappy price don't seem to increase, but the BOX seems to shrink for sure throughout the years…..so meaning less nappies for same price. Huggies playing dirty this way to instead of increasing the price.

I should stop making kids…so I can save a fortune!!

    • May I recommend then some Ansell condoms then….which gives you free movies!

      Not simultaneously of course.

No different to any other product, e.g. potato chips. Everything shrinks. Soon we'll need those $0.79 stainless steel tweezers to pick our products off the shelve.

    • it's not really dirty. companies have conducted many studies and it is found that consumers are more price sensitive than volume sensitive; ie a 10% increase in cost for a pack of chips is much more noticeable to consumers than a 10% decrease in weight.

so in the face of rising costs, most companies opt for the lesser of evils.

      • Except Cadbury chocolate which has gone up 10% in size this year :)
(just don't mention the 20% decrease in 2009)

        • which means it really only went up by 8% (?)

Got any evidence for this? I haven't seen any variation in the last 7 years.

Ok, thanks for that. But that does not support the assertion:

the box seems to shrink for sure throughout the years

I didn't realise they added some and then took the same amount away within the last 3 years.

        • Me neither, but my oldest is only 2 1/2 so I have only see the most recent shrinkage in 2012

      • i can't provide evidence about the shrinkage….
but am pretty sure it DID shrink…..at least once….
        Just like the M&M's…..

  • They were on special last week @Iga for $29.99 too
Costco sells the bigger box(224/box newborn), regular price ~$0.29/nappy

If you haven't tried Babylove nappies give them a go. IMHO far superior to Huggies and being cheaper is just a bonus.

I wouldn't go around telling people you like Babylove…

The Aldi brand nappies are the cheapest and I also find them the best. Some other Ozbargainer put me onto them and haven't looked back. Much better quality and fit.

      • Totally agree…

        • Also agree, they are nice and big and fit well, have used babylove, huggies and snuggler last few months and aldi seem to be right up there.

        • I beg to differ.

Tried Aldi nappies after so many recommendations but decided to return them after a few use because i couldn't stand the smell. I don't know what paint they used for the print on the nappies but I think it's too strong thus wouldn't be good for bub.

Plus it is an import from Germany, so not good as Huggies or Snuggler which are locally made.

  • Wtf.. just paid $33 last night :/

  • Thanks OP !

  • thanks OP!…

  • Great price I just bought 2 boxes on Monday $33

  • i dont use huggies anymore…..opted for the cheaper option babylove….I don't care about my baby's arse anymore!! They dont get rashes anyway. But I actually find that babylove is softer and comfier….my 3 yr old son says the same.
….But still too expensive….(but cheaper than washing the sheet everyday i guess)
