Train Table $39, Lego Table with Drawer $59, Dual Screen DVD Player for Car $109 Kmart Toy Sale

40

Kmart's toy sale begins instore on the 20th, but items can be bought online from tomorrow 14th, including 8 week layby.

The 60 piece train table set comes with track, trains and other accessories. Cheapest I've seen them elsewhere is Aldi once a year for around $50, with the rare ability to buy them at a reduce price later during clearance. Given that all wooden train tracks are compatible (including Thomas) this price complete is cheaper than buying track separately.

The Lego table at $59 is the same sort of thing, only with a very convenient drawer for storage. Doesn't come with any lego, unfortunately, but given that lego is usually sold at a premium these days in kit-form, the 1600 piece Creative Tower set they're offering on the same page might be a good beginners buy.

Although the catalogue doesn't state that it is, the audiosonic 9 inch dvd player appears to be dual screen (the two pictured look to be different) so probably a reasonable buy for $109 if you're after 2 screens.

As it's not active yet I can't advise on delivery costs, sorry.

BigW appears to be starting their toy sale on the 27th, but no details as yet as to what they'll have on sale.

  • If anyone can find cheaper prices for the same tables I'm more than happy to add them to the original post.

That is a link to last year's Target toy sale - the new catalogue hasn't been released yet and the date at the bottom of the catalogue is a giveaway.

    • ?? It says Target Catalogue 2013

      • No, it says 2012. I clicked the link you provided and it says "to 11 July 2012"

I didn't check the catalogue itself, was just going by what the page said, but you're right it was last years catalogue, so I've removed it.

  • Thanks Geewhizz - you've got parents chomping at the bit!

The KMart prices are regular prices. Other than the trampolines (which didn't appear available about a week or two ago), these prices are all regular.

One real bargain in the pick that stood out to me was the Lego 5512 set (1600 piece). Everyone else sells this for around $150-$200 (even on eBay!!). At $79, it is very cheap.

  • Yesterday I also heard from staff that Kmart aren't doing sales anymore so there was no point getting a rain check on chocolate sharepacks they had for $2 :(
