Rok Blower Vac - 2500w at Target $35

80

My blower vac died last week (paid about $200 6-7yrs ago for similar) so was out and about looking for a replacement. Can't believe how much they have come down over the past few years! Masters had a similar one for a little more , but wasn't in stock in any stores near me and the cheapest at Bunnings is $45. You can have it delivered for $9 or free click and collect.

With a powerful 2500 watt motor, as well as blowing and vacuum functions, this Rok blower vac will make short work of your leaves and garden waste. Features include air speed of 200km an hour, air volume 14 cubic metres a minute, 10:1 mulching rate and a 35 litre collection bag.

This deal both sucks and blows!
    Great deal! Cheers OP

  • is this a usual price? or on special now at Target?
Dont need one as i use my broom….but might get one if it's cheap

    • Honestly don't know if on sale as wasn't looking until the past week, but after investigating was pretty happy with the price and have ordered for click and collect.

  • 2500w is a bit of a worry as a household gpo is only rated for 2400w (240v/10a)

  • Reviews online say this has a terrible bag attachment issue. How have you found this so far?

    • Sorry Matmubbuggy, only ordered it this morning for pick-up so can't comment on quality. However, review on Target website was good and didn't mention the bag - read below deal on page. Also that was only 1 review, so maybe it was an isolated issue. I tend to only use the blower, so not overly concerned.

"I didn't want a big heavy blower/vac costing $300 i couldn't believe the price and so far it is perfect! I can switch from vac to blower whenever i need to it's great."

I think the price is good.

However, I just bought the Bunnings Ozito cheapie for $45 (regular price) and think the Bunnings one may be better.

It has a variable speed control(160-270kn/h) which is not mentioned on the Rok description. This is good as the full power is not required in some cases so it is good to be able to turn it down.

Also the Ozito has a 2 year replacement warranty. With Bunnings it is pretty easy to get it exchanged for a new one if you have the receipt.

The Ozito works well for the price.

    Anyway, some food for thought.

    • Is it loud on the low speed? Thinking of replacing the one I've got as it's falling apart and really loud.

      • I can't recall specifically, but it is noticeably quieter than on full power. Sounds a bit like the low fan speed on a hair dryer.
