Little trick to get the Nexus 7 32GB cheaper ;)

Just wanted to share this one…

I was looking for 2 Nexus 7 32GB to put in the car for the kids…

I found this offer: http://www.techrific.com.au/asus-google-nexus-7-android-tabl…
This site advertises the Nexus 7 32GB for $235… truth is that it's sort of a scam, when you scroll down it says "Shipping Included"… yes it's included, but not in the price… when you put it in the cart, they bump up the price to $312.95 where they add $77.95 for shipping…

So first thing… this site should end up in everyone's blacklist!

But then I thought, I could use their dodgy wording to price match at Office Work and get an additional %5 as OW price match online offers as long is it includes shipping cost…

That's what I did and got the Nexus 7 32GB for $220 something… which I think is quite a good price

    1. There's certainly an ethical issue here trying to ask Officeworks to match against an online price excluding the shipping cost, especially taking advantage of Techrific's dodgy website + inexperienced OW staff…

    2. And Nexus 7 32GB did sell for $206 at TGG 3 weeks ago so sorry to tell you that you did not get the best deal :P

  • Sure you're right… but I missed that deal… that's how it is… however, if TGG could make it a this price without being under cost, I get OW still made a profit out of this…

so basically you get an okay deal by lying and cheating?
    poor form

  • This has been sprayed all over WP, not really news if you check it: http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/archive/2082648

And from that, it sounds largely based on luck.

  • too bad for shonky sales people! LOL

  • thanks for the info the same thing happened to me with the same company. It's now sprayed on FB too :) I love ripoffs

  • meh I say its both bad and good~ sometimes I get really annoying sales people or get told misleading information and then I would take up an offer like this, otherwise probably not :D
