Let me encourage you to get the foot stool as well. Makes a world of difference!

    • Tried to get the footstool which match the dark brown frame chairs we already have. Unfortunately only the light colored frame in stock :(

  • perfect weekend "get lazy, sit-down and play with ipad all arvo" chair

thanks. im JLC fan too :)

  • Nice comfy chair, I like mine.

  • Thought it was called the 'pong chair', wouldn't want one of them - though would stop me having to blame it on the dog ;-)

What's the maximum weight limit of the chair? Given the average ozbargainer is a 100kg plus neck beard.

    • "The frame withstands weights up to 170 kg."

      • Dammit, my neck beard is 71 kg!

      • Sounds good, I should get one for my greyhound then, he keeps getting onto my lounge even when I'm sitting on it! And yes edwinlin88, JLC are really nice!

nah, the average ozbargainer is male with an asian background (based on pics from the ozbargain meetup)

Vote of comfort from me, bought one a few months ago, most comfortable chair I've ever used. And yes, get the matching footstool, you won't regret it :)

    Footstool is on sale too:
    $30 for the footstool
    $20 for the cushion

  • Have one of these chairs, soooooooopa comfy and looks great.

  • Is it low to the ground? It looks more comfortable then my computer chair :\ Might be worth the drive to Sydney.

    • I haven't got one, but from memory they're too low to be suitable for a computer chair. Also, no swivel, rolling, or adjustments.

They are very comfortable though. We will likely get one with the sale, just wish it included leather (or that the leather was at least on sale too).

      • leather one is not that nice IMHO. I like the colours more :)

    • i don't think it'd make a great computer chair. check the height specs on the site but it's too "relaxed" to be a desk chair i rkn. OK for using laptop on lap though

Not good for a computer chair, good for a TV or console chair. Also good for kids and for feeding newborns.

      • Also great for reading books, iPads etc.

    • Not good for computer work because you lean back which is not suitable for screen work. It's a relaxation chair.

  • these are great!

I like this chair. Incidentally named after the sound it makes when you bounce on your back too rigorously you end up being ejected forward.

  • Sweet! Time to get rid of my 15 yr old one with an imprint of my ass in the cushion.

What about us poor loney WA people :(

    I wanna relax too

    • +22

no, get back to the mines

    • Aren't the WA people relaxed all the time :)

  • I have used them before - they have amazing lower back support and are one of the most comfortable chairs I have used. Awsome deal :)

They have some truly hideous color choices.

Tempted by the Granån white with birch veneer, but I really don't have the space in my little apartment.

    • I actually on the same situation with you.No space in the apartment.

Picked the deal today and it doesn't take as much as space I thought initially.

Funnily enough I picked the same color that you want.

      • How long does it take to assemble it?

        • not long, it took me about 15 minutes. It's really easy and there aren't many parts

  • This is the family price so you will need to have the Ikea family card

    • this is stated in the original post. IKEA Family is free to join at any IKEA store and takes 1 minute to join

I love this chair. I still have 1 that I bought probably around 9 years ago.
    And it's still good. :)

  • are they flat packed?

    • +2

the frame yes, cushions in a plastic wrapping.

  • joined but they dont email you your membership info, instead you have to go to the store and print a temp card; not very insightfull!

    • oh, I think usually people join at the in-store kiosks where it prints the temp cart straight away

  • Just missed out :( do you think they might extend the offer by one day if I beg..
