I think Gift Card is normally valid for 12 months from the date of purchase and yes, they do have price matching policy (done that few times too and with this tough economic situation like this, I bet they're more than happy to bent down a bit).

Not specifically by using gift cards.
What I meant that on top of the current sale they have, you'll get more savings/discounts using the $20 bonus Gift Card.
For example,
As any other purchase, if they have sale going on, say 15% on $200 DVD player, then you will pay $170 by cash/credit card.
If you use your $200 David Jones card (plus $20 gift card bonus), then, you ended up paying $150, further saving to 25%.
Would Myer do the same???
