    Excellent, time to stock up!

    • +1

why stock up? Any Apple deal coming?

      • +1

Black Friday is a little under 1 month away now.

      • +2

A lot of people who using apple gift cards use them for services too and also with the iPhone new release period done people may have depleted their balances. Add in there hasn’t been a woolies/coles deal for a while it’s a good time to get some more imo.

      • +1

Other than Black Friday, I pay subscriptions out of account balances stocked up from gift cards. Same deal with Google Play gift cards paying months of Youtube Premium.

      • For apple subscription.

        • +1

          @Neil2016 cough Apple Turkey cough

      • They generally don't run any discounts on BF, but they offer free GCs with purchase. So you'll get your 10% off by loading up your Apple ID and paying for items online and then net a GC in the process.

    • Starts next week. Wednesday 5th November 2025.

  • +12

    do not redeem!!

    • +4

      I understood this reference.

    • +4

      WHY DID YOU REDEEEEM!!!!! 😡😡😡🤣🤣🤣

      • Is the money in your account? You should have another $500.

  • +7

I got traumatised by tampered card last time. never again. Good luck to those who still trust these gift cards.

    • Yep, was an incredible nightmare trying to get it sorted whilst both parties never took responsibility for who was at fault. 6 weeks to fix.

      • +2

What happened? I’ve put through probably like $20k of these cards from woolies and Cole’s and never had an issue. Normally apply them when I get back to the car.

        • I talk to the staff (in store, during purchase) and activate basically on the spot. Most staff know about the issues.
I had 3 of 10 cards that failed last time, and they were replaced in about 15 minutes at the counter

          • @packeteer: Thanks CRAZY! Thanks for the update, I'll look out for this. Just had a read of the scam. I live in a regional town so I guess maybe it is less likely than a capital etc?

        • +2

I’ve put through probably like $20k of these cards

That's a lot of money to give to Apple.
As a shareholder, I thank you for your service.

  • Let hope if apple does any Black Friday deal will last till 2nd Dec, Discount GC, Black Friday, TRS can't get a better combination than that.

    • Can company salary sacrifice be added to the above combo?

      • Yes. Invoice from Apple shows "Credit Card" under terms and no mention of Apple Account / Gift Card.

  • +2

one of most popular tamper targets?

  • +1

Hopefully Woolworths is not far behind

  • 20x flybuy points is 10% off, but theres been a couple sales of coles GC's at 5% off so the value goes down. We want those 10% off discounts back!

    • +1

20x flybuy points is 10% off

      no it isn't

      • +3

People can’t understand that 20x flybuys points is less than 10% off

  • Luckily I didn’t buy 8% from card.gift this morning

    • +1

Yeah but with physical cards, you run the risk of getting tampered cards, which you will get yourself in a lot of headache just for an additional tiny saving of 3%.

      • +1

I’ll buy it, open it, and add it to my account at Coles before leaving the store.

      • +4

why 3%, it is more like 1.x percent, cos flybuys is not real money, and you can get discount coles giftcard usually.

        • Where u guys find such big discount?

Biggest I can find is from GU Health and that is 4% discount.

          • @syswong: Looks like it was: card dot gift. Never heard of it but it says their Apple promotion is sold out anyhow now.

          • @syswong: T-man was referring to this deal but sold out within two hours.

  • Yes! About time :)

  • Can I use this to pay for iCloud+ monthly subscription?

    • Yep. I figured this out only this year. Stock up on enough for a years subscription of whatever and add some extra for other purchases.

Just add them to your Apple account and your subscriptions should automatically debit from that balance

      • This is the way. Getting an extra 10% value in groceries is great. Makes the case for Apple One (or Apple Music vs Spotify).

      • my cards are added and it says apple account is the default payment method - but it still takes payment for icloud/AppleCare etc from credit card. how do I change this?

    • I do this and pay for the lowest tier iCloud+. Works out well with 10% off and the gift cards constantly give me free months of News+, Apple Music or Apple TV.

      • how do they give you free news+? I would love this!

  • just want to double-check something before I head to Coles.

Right now there’s the Apple Gift Card promo — spend $100, get 2,000 Flybuys points (10% back).
I already have some Flybuys dollars saved up (e.g. $10 = 2,000 points).

    So my question is:
👉 Can I use my Flybuys dollars to pay part of the $100 Apple Gift Card (like $90 + $10 Flybuys dollars)?
👉 And if I do, will I still get the bonus 2,000 Flybuys points from the promotion?

Has anyone tried this before? Wondering if the checkout system blocks Flybuys redemptions on gift card purchases.

    Thanks in advance!

    • I believe you cant use flybuys dollars when the transaction has gift cards, or at the very least when the other items doesn't exceed the flybuys dollars redemption amount.

    • Normally you have to use cash to get the flybuys. Not flybuys to get the flybuys. Time sure does fly by though.

    • I haven’t seen this $100 get 2000pts bonus, is it targeted?

    • +3

chatgpt couldn’t give you that answer when it was formatting your question?

    • If you look at the FAQ page towards the bottom of the deal description, it has two entries that answer your first question:

Additionally, I have tried both before on past Apple gift card deals (and other gift card deals) at Coles this year and it did not work every single time.

  • I have never bought an Apple gift card. Can I use them to buy an iPhone?

  • +1

I used to do these all the time but I'm scared now with the tampering

  • -1

    There goes our inflation rates!

  • I am not sure how TS even found this deal. Catalog is available only for this week.

  • Right time! Just looking something for my colleges birthday gift.

  • Can someone please tell me if I can pay apple care+ with gift card? One time payment for 2 years.

    • These cards are just added to your Apple account as credit.
Then when you buy from the Apple Store (via the app) or pay for services they just deduct from your credit balance (although I think for purchasing items you need to explicitly select the payment method).

      • I've tried to use my apple account balance to buy apple care and its not possible.
But need to know if I can buy apple care with physical apple gift card online or instore.

    • +1

Yes, but only in one situation.

If you have a look at the FAQs page linked towards the bottom of the deal description, it contains a more complete answer to your question.

      • +1

Can you not add them into your Apple account which can then be saved to your Apple wallet and then you select that via Apple Pay option when purchasing anything?

        • +2

You can do that in-store, but you must have an iPhone running iOS 17.6 or later (or a paired Apple Watch), then tap to pay at time for payment. If you can do that, it is definitely an easier option than the staff member messing around with redeeming gift card codes.

      • +1

        Thanks guys

  • Thank you excellent news

  • Thanks OP

  • Is tempering tbat common?

    • Has been around way before the news came out

  • Thanks OP. Time for getting Apple stuff ^_^

  • Guys, can someone explain - do these 20-500$ Apple Cards qualify for the offer? Or max Apple card is only 200$ one?

    • I don’t think the variable gift card qualify for the offer. Only the denominations mentioned in the post description qualify.

      • +2

The $20-500 variable load Apple gift cards are definitely included.

        • Thank you for the explicit explanation! Obviously it makes sense to get maximum 50000 points per day, you need 5 x 500$ cards.

  • Well.. supermarket just can't lock those bloody gift cards away and only purchase and paid then give you just like cigarettes, at the very least it's not easy to tamper with, or like click purchase on POS then print out docket with barcode.

Don't understand why let those drift while you know something has happened.
