  • Can this be used for buying AppleCare+?

      • +1

Just got over 30 days purchasing my Airpods pro, but thanks, glad that I asked beforehand.

      • 60 days if you bring your device to Apple Store.

        Question #3 in FAQ section

        • +2

Thank you, I will correct the wiki.

When I went to an Apple Store nearly 12 months ago to purchase AppleCare+ for my MacBook Pro, the staff member told me I had 30 days to make the purchase, so it is good to see it is supposed to be 60.

@TaurusHead it looks like you are still eligible to purchase AppleCare+. nvm, the party is over.

          • @WookieMonster: that make sense as it took more than 3 weeks for my Airpods to arrive, so clearly 30 days are not enough

  • Good if you can get the latest iPhone.
    Wait, one use per customer?

    • Well one use, one iPhone!

    • For online order at Apple website it say: You can use up to 8 Apple Gift Cards.

      • Redeem them first into your Apple balance, then buy

    • you can buy 4 or 5 $500 cards in one transaction and that's "one use"

  • +9

    bring back the 15%

    • Same. I am waiting for it too.

    • When did Apple Gift Cards have a 15% discount?

    • Once in a lifetime.

  • +1

    Waiting for Woollies 10% off

    • +1

When was the last time this happened?

        • How does that Reward Points work? Does everyone without Reward Points able to buy Apple cards with 10% off?

          • +1

            @edfoo:

How does that Reward Points work?

When you purchase a gift card through one of those in-store deals at Coles, Woolworths or BIG W and scan the applicable loyalty program card (Flybuys or Everyday Rewards) before payment, you will earn a predetermined number of points for every dollar spent on those gift cards. In other words, you pay the full amount for gift cards upfront, but you will also earn points that can redeemed in future.

For Flybuys or Everyday Rewards deals, you only ever see 20x points deals these days, which equates to 10% of the gift card's face value returned to you in the form of points. This percentage is based on 2000 points = a $10 discount at applicable retailers (e.g. Coles, Woolworths, BIG W, Bunnings, etc).

Does everyone without Reward Points able to buy Apple cards with 10% off?

            Nope.

            • @WookieMonster: so is the new flybuys 20 x offer exactly same value as yesterdays 20 x WW reward points in value?

              • +4

@sydneygirl: If you do not convert your Flybuys points or Everyday Rewards points into Velocity points or Qantas points (respectively), in short, yes.

Let's image you purchase a $100 Apple gift card.

                • Through a 20x Flybuys points offer at Coles, you would earn 2,000 Flybuys points. That can be converted into $10 in Flybuys Dollars that can be redeemed at a number of businesses (e.g. Coles, Kmart, Shell Reddy Express), or redeemed as an instant $10 discount at Coles / Liquorland / Bunnings. However, you could be able to stretch the value of those points by redeeming them on selected gift cards whenever the Flybuys store runs a deal (e.g. this one).

                • Through a 20x Everyday Rewards points offer at Woolworths (or BIG W), you would earn 2,000 Everyday Rewards points. That can be converted into $10 in Everyday Rewards Dollars that can be redeemed at a number of businesses, including Woolworths, BIG W and the Everyday Gifting store on the Everyday Rewards app/website. However, you could be able to stretch the value of those points by redeeming them on selected gift cards whenever the Everyday Gifting store runs a deal (e.g. this one).

If you instead convert your Flybuys points or Everyday Rewards into Velocity points or Qantas points (respectively):

                • 2,000 Flybuys points convert into 1,000 Velocity points, and

                • 2,000 Everyday Rewards points convert into 1,000 Qantas points.

The value of a Velocity point or a Qantas point would then depend on how you value it, but that is rabbit hole I do not want to go down…

                • +1

@WookieMonster: Thanks for the explanation. So in short, you don't get 10% discount back immediately, you just get them as a credit to spend later in Coles/Woolworths etc, which is not a direct discount like this 8% off deal.

    • Me too, much less frequent lately

    • +1

Easier to buy online than worry about going in-store tbh

      extra 2% off $500 = $10. Meh

      • You use Grocery card in store, which saves extra 3% if you have access to HCF gift card portal

        • +1

You can't use gift cards to buy gift cards at Woolworths.

  • Can you pay in a physical Apple Store with these cards or only online?

    • +3

You can pay in apple store as well. Once redeemed onto the apple account, It will show the balance as a 'Apple Pay Card' to make apple store payments.

    • +8

You can use these gift cards in-store, and you have two options:

      1. Take the unredeemed Apple gift cards to the Apple Store and when it is time to pay for your transaction, ask to pay via Apple gift cards. The staff member should be able to scan the gift card codes and redeem up to 20 to pay for your transaction.

      2. Redeem the Apple gift cards onto your Apple Account Associated Balance first (although note that there appears to be a $4999 limit for this balance), then when in-store, tap to pay by using the Apple Account card stored on an iPhone's Apple Pay wallet. The iPhone must be running iOS 17.6 or later for this feature to work, plus the iPhone must be signed into the same Apple ID as the one with the Account Balance you want to redeem.

Thank you for your detailed response!

  • +1

    Nah, waiting for 10% off

  • +2

Thanks OP! Will take this up as it is less hassle for me than waiting for the woolies/coles deal and having to exchange the gift cards and eventually find a use for them. Worth the 2% less in my case. :)

  • +3

Thanks OP got $500 worth. Got email confirmation instantly.

But there is now a new step to put in your mobile and email address to "activate" the card. You then receive the gift card coupon code in a separate email.

    • How long did it take to receive the coupon code? Just bought $500 and it's been over 10 mins since I activated the card.

      • Still waiting about 10 mins too

      • Mine was instantaneous but I did mine more than an hour ago.

Their servers must be smashed now

        • +1

Almost 3 hours and still no code for me.

    • im still waiting for the actual card to come through, its been about 30mins since i "activated" it

      • yup been about 30 mins for me too now…

      • been about an hour… their server must have crashed

      • did you guys get it? tried calling and got disconnected after 20mins. have sent an email enquiry now..

        • I think they are getting bombarded with people not getting the GC. I got an email response 1 hour later and only got 1, still have some not fulfilled yet lol.

  • +1

    Will this work AOC?

    • +1

Yes, bought one on March this year

      • Does the receipt show GST if buying with giftcards from AOC? I am planning to claim TRS after purchase.

        Thanks.

        • Sorry mate, I couldn’t find the invoice

        • Tax says 0, so no.

          • @Carrian: Will the tax(GST) be showing if using giftcard for partial payment?

            • +1

@M27: Not entirely sure sorry. Still waiting for my gift cards

  • +2

Thanks OP - depleted my account balance getting the new iphone this year. Use the balance to pay for my iCloud subscription so is a good saving

    • how do you do this? i have $$ in my apple account but it still takes from credit card

  • -6

Just in time for ATO fine after the 31st.

    • why did people downvote this?

      • Because it stopped being funny years ago.

        • along with 90% of jokes on this website

  • -2

Stay tuned for the cancelled order notification.

    • Why?

      • +2

Card.Gift has fraud controls to review all orders placed on their website, and it will sometimes cancel orders, due to "security verification issues".

Here is an example from a prior Apple gift card deal on Card.Gift (and this is a more recent example).

      • +4

Have a look at previous postings for gift.card. Their so called system security/fraud checks result in quite a few rejected orders. If your order isn’t fulfilled within an hour then the odds are it will be rejected…

To prove my point just come back to this thread in a day or two.

        • I got rejected last time….this time I was approved in 15 minutes

  • How long do they normally take to come through? Bought about 2k

    • I'm still waiting for my card too… Placed the order 20mins ago

    • I bought 2k and they were sent to my email in 2 min.

    • I got mine in about 5 minutes

      • lol it’s been 45 minutes what are they doin

      • +2

I got my card a min after purchase, but when I go and activate it, it says it will come through but haven't seen the voucher. That's odd. Check my junk, not there too.

        • +1

          same here

        • +1

same here! it’s been an hour already…

        • Same. Won't use them again!

        • Still waiting for mine after activating it yesterday… :S

  • Can we used on the education store?

  • Can we buy 2 diff gift card with seperate account and load it in one purchase?

    • +4

The Gift.card Apple gift card sales always stipulate 1 per customer. Every single time, I've had no issues buying multiple cards and have received the full discount. Just now, I added 1 x $500 card into the card. On the checkout page, I increased the quantity to 4. I applied the code and paid $1840 for the lot.

      • -1

Damn missed to purchase 4.now can't use the coupon again.

        Wonder any work around

        • Probably different email address? But then again, I am not sure if the fraud prevention system will flag if they are noticing same billing address.

          • @cloudie9: Yeh tried that all detected that voucher not valid.

            Look Like it expired now

  • +2

25 mins ago activated the card,
said "Get excited – your gift card is in the making. We have sent you an email with your digital voucher."
    But still waiting…

  • I'm getting a new battery replacement tomorrow at the Apple Store..

Can this be used to pay instore?

    • +2

Yes. You can use Apple Gift Cards in Apple stores for services at the Genius Bar

  • +1

trying to buy 5x500, doesn't work. saying code invalid

  • Has anyone received the gift card after activating it? been 40mins now..

    • Still waiting, its been 30 mins…

    • Took 5mins for me after activation. TCN email with the gift card code.

    • when you click "view your card" what is your gift card status "your card is on its way"?

      • yeah says "your card is on its way"

        • Mine too, looks like the issue is on card.gift’s end.

      • Gift card amount and the serial number. This is email from TCN not from card.Gift
