500 Flybuys Points for Signing up to Liquorland Email List

2630

500 Flybuys points is worth about $2.50 to most people. I know it doesn't sound like a lot but getting Flybuys points with no $ outlay sounds like a good idea to me.

Limit 500 flybuys BONUS POINTS per flybuys membership. flybuys BONUS POINTS collected from this promotion will appear in qualifying members’ accounts no later than 4 weeks after details are submitted. Standard flybuys Terms and Conditions apply and are available at flybuys.com.au.

And don't forget to do your survey every month for 1000 points.

would anyone have the $5 off coupon this month?

    • +30

Heres a small tip incase you dont know, I have 3 other family members registered on my FB card, and you can submit a survey for all 4 card numbers on the 1 account and get 4000 FB points ($20 coles discount) every month for doing the survey, and with experience you can knock all 4 of them down in 8-12 minutes! Between the tell coles survey and the 1st choice 500 point email bonus ive been scoring 6000 Fly buys points a month for less than 15 minutes "work". I now look forward to the liquorland points!

      • -2

So you have to spend a minimum of $400 per month spread out over the 4 cards to get a $20 discount? Sounds like a lot of hard work, when you can get the same discount, using just one card for around $140, using the bonus $5 discount tacked onto the bottom of the docket if spending more than $30.

        • +6

@geewhizz……..No no no. I dont NEED spend ANYTHING, when its time to do the surveys, I pick up 4 coles dockets, either from the floor or trolleys, and I then use these dockets to complete the 4 surveys :)

        • +2

No, when doing the survey at the end you choose the 1000 FlyBuys point option. It's a better deal with no minimum purchase. 1000 FlyBuys points will give you $5 worth of FlyBuy Dollars via redemption on the website. Though it is a minimum 2000 point redemption for a $10 reward, and (^technically) you do have to shop at Coles once a month for any amount in order to have the receipt for a survey. After redemption, you can spend the FlyBuy Dollars at Coles, Target, Kmart etc and there is no minimum, it's just like cash, you just tell the person on the checkout.

        • +11

Another tip, don't waste your time picking up old dockets because you can put any number into the "receipt #" field and any time/date in and it will still give you the 1,000 points.

You still need to know your local store number (or at least A store number) but I've put mine in so many times I know it off by heart now anyway.

Also, I learned from another OzBargainer that you can also use the details from the sample receipt on the TellColes website and they work too

        • Just tried that and it worked! aMAZEballs.

      • +2

Thanks for that tip, had no idea. Should be raking in even more points now :)

      • +1

Thanks. Just done 3 in 6 minutes. :)

    • For 8,000 points you can risk your life on a Tiger Adelaide - Melb flight thru webjet!

      • +1

No true Ozbargainer would book thru webjet. Its a complete scam $32 webjet fees to book a domestic flight that you can quite easily book yourself thru the airlines website direct. NO THANKS WEBJET.

        • only for flybuys- otherwise DIRECT thru ailrline

        • @Food even booking a webjet flight thru flybuys they will steal 6400 points of you to cover the webjet fees and thats 6400 points ontop of what the flight will cost in points. Not worth it. Better of paying for the flight directly thru the airlines website.

    • Just quick one, how do u guys keep track of if there has been month since the last survey….do you just remember the last survey date or store somewhere online…

      • 1st of every month i do the survey. right after i check my bank accounts to see how much interest i got ;)

      • I do my survey at the start of the month. I keep my own list of flybuys transactions on my computer to help me keep track of paid and unpaid bonus points offers. I list the tell coles survey next to the transaction date.

      • +1

You can also get tell coles to send you a reminder once it's been about a month since your last survey.

        • how do u setup reminder…i can't find anything..can u help pls…

        • +1

I think the only way to set up a reminder is during the survey. There is a question towards the end of the survey which asks you if you want a reminder sent to you by email and a space to put in your email address.

        • I just did my July survey. There was no question asking me about an email reminder to do the survey next month. They seem to change the survey from month to month so it's hard to know what's going to be in there.

I suggest using a reminder system on your phone, your computer or the calendar you have on the wall or fridge.

    Will additional cards count?

    • +2

My interpretation of the terms and conditions is that you can only get 500 points per account. In other words if you have a secondary cardholder on the one account, you can't get an extra 500 points for the second card. If each adult member of the household has a separate flybuys account you can probably get 500 points for each account. I think it works best if you have a separate email address for each account.

      • +1

I know that additional cardholders don't have the same number. So you shouldn' need a seperate account.account.

    • +7

They do for me. Im the principle account holder, and have created 3 additional card holders, all have their own card number, but all points earnt come back to my account. All additional card holders must be listed as living at the same address as you the principle account holder lives in, and all should have their own email adresses registered. This method works for the tell coles surveys (I do all 4 per month for 4000 points) and has worked for me during the 1st choice 500 point email campaign. Now Ive registered all 4 for the Liquorland points. Looking forward too seeing 2000 points listed as Liquorland default notional outlet soon on my FB statement!!

      • +2

Sounds like they haven't programmed their computers to match the terms and conditions. Well done on getting all the points.

    • +3

      LOUD NOISES!

  • +3

FYI enter your details multiple times with same flybuys number for multiple deposits of 500 points

    • How many times can this stack? :)

    • +3

Is this a theory of yours or a proven method?

  • +5

You think we'll get bonus points every now and then from this promotion? cause I've been getting points each month from the First Choice Liquor flybuys promo and I thought that was only a once off thing.
    Anyway thanks OP!

    • -2

hmmm, what's hubby been up to?

      • that's a random question. LOL..

    • +1

Can you check that you get points every month for the first choice promo? I got 500 points in april and 500 points in June which leads me to think that it was simply a mistake and you're only supposed to get it once

    • That's not a valid phone number.

    • Just create a filter to send the email to the trash if it's too hard to get off the list :-)

    • ..

    • +8

That's not allowed according to ACMAs spam act. They could end up in hot water if someone reports it.

  • +4

Living up to your name. Cheers OP

Hope it is monthly points like the First Choice Liquor newsletter, makes me laugh each time I get points from their DEFAULT NOTIONAL OUTLET.

  • +1

I seem to get the 500 points every 2 months rather than every month from DEFAULT NOTIONAL OUTLET.

  • Have you got a link to the First Choice sign up for points please?

    • +1

The first choice promotion expired on 31 May 2013

    • +8

According to the website the offer ended on 31 May, 2013. The sign up website however is still up. I signed up again during the week and the flybuys points are already in my account. Good luck

      • +3

Yeah for some reason Fly Buys did a mass credit of 1st Choice email signup points on 20 June. Even to people who I know for a fact signed up after their advertised expiry date of 31 May.

      • +1

        thanks :)
        will see woppens…

  • +1

They probably realised it's cheaper to give $2.50 to people who signed up instead of printing tonnes of catalogues and paying people to distribute them to everyone.

    • Yes, my points turned up as well for this promotion. Now, just waiting for an email from them so I can unsubscribe from the list as I'm not interested in alcohol. I haven't reconciled everything today but I think my Tell coles points turned up as well.

      • re submit all the details, and youll get the points again. Thats what happened for me during the 1st choice campaign

  • so some people actually receiver 2000 points? some receive 1000 points? some receive 500 points every month? some receive 500 points every 2 months?

    • It all depends on how many flybuys members you have in your household and how many email addresses the household has. It also depends on whether flybuys and liquorland reprogram their computers to match the terms and conditions stated on the offer.
