      Did you buy it from Amazon and activate in locally?

      I know the first Dead Island on Amazon required a US VPN to register on steam (unlike other digital retailer's versions). Plus there's a comment on the product page at the bottom saying that it is region restricted.

      I'm just looking for some first hand experience before buying.
