      Probably for quite a while. I got a pair of Altec Lansing headphones (not earphones) from Joyce Mayne for my stepson in December 2011.

        They were not always $10 as the engadget article shows it used to be $100 at the beginning. I bought them for $60 couple of years ago from OW but returned them the same day. There is a reason the earphones couldn't hold its value.

      Earphones work but the mic and touch-to-talk do no. Saw this in one of the youtube review. Deal breaker for me.

    These aren't bad for $10 considering they're single balanced armature (not for bass heads). If you like more drive and bass, look for dynamic driver in-ears. But $10…bargain! The build quality is good. These were $100 back when they were launched and Altec Lansing are probably clearing out their stocks.
