Customer feedback:
"See Me Talk is a brilliant communication app for individuals with limited communication but also has application for early literacy development. It has ease of search function and is visually delightful. Sentence assembly is quick and loads of pics are available to choose from." - Jordan Speech Therapy

"I just learned about this great AAC app when it went on sale for free a couple weeks ago for autism awareness month, but after reviewing “See me Talk” I would gladly recommend the app even at its normal $60 price tag." - http://talktoterri.wordpress.com/

See Me Talk is a beautiful easy to use augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) app for those who have difficulty communicating effectively. It is based on a picture exchange system developed for people with speech delays to communicate their needs independently and effectively.

See Me Talk was developed by a Special Education Teacher with over 12 years experience, in consultation with Speech Pathologists and parents of children with speech delays, who saw a need for an app that was visually pleasing and easy to navigate. Additionally, the app was professionally designed by Robots & Pencils, an award winning company specializing in creating iOS apps and who's owner has a child with a speech delay. Through this collaborative team we have come up with a gorgeous app that is easy to use!

    $31.99. Save $30!

It was $41.99, so that equals a $10 saving

have a look at some maths apps…

    • How do math apps compare? anyone with basic programming skills can make one, basic if and not statements with a quick ui made in unity.

      • really? you didn't get that?

  • The regular price is $61.99, not $41.99. Thanks for pointing that out!

  • You going to keep posting this every month?

why charge so much for ppl who are disadvantage and can hardly afford it?

    • Simply because there are fewer customers from which to recover costs.

Of course this thing is probably useless - there are a whole raft of speech issues that can arise in children - speech delay, stuttering, unhinged profanity - you name it.

Go see a Speech Therapist who should be able to diagnose the specific problem, and develop a tailored solution. You can sometimes get government support for this, but i wouldn't wait for it like some moron i know did as their kid got worse.

This kind of thing can really slow your kid down.

Android users should try Jabtalk. Used to cost $10 but now it's free.

I appreciate what you're trying to do with this application, but with all the subjectivity of speech impairments I don't feel that you've given us enough information to purchase this product at the price you've set it to.

The fact that you acknowledged, but didn't implement a 'cut down version' like you said you would in your previous post to OZB gives me the feeling that you aren't really doing us a service with this discount, just trying to squeeze as much money as you can out of your application.

For reference, here's the post I'm talking about.

    • I definitely understand your point. I haven't implemented the 'cut down' version because I simply haven't raised the funds to do so.

I'm doing this on my own, without financial backing,in addition to full time work, because I wanted to make a quality app that was significantly cheaper than other AAC apps, therefore, more accessible to those who need it. For example, Proloquo2go is sold for over $200.

Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts! It's very much appreciated! Especially when shared in such a thoughtful and constructive manner!

      I love this site!

Making a 'cut down' version from the full app is an easy job, it shouldn't take more than a day.
If your app really works, the trial/demo version will help to boost your sales significantly.

Making a 'cut down' version from the full app is an easy job, it shouldn't take more than a day.

That's a remarkably sweeping statement when you know next to nothing about the implementation…

        • You are correct, but unless an app is very poorly programmed, it's always an easy task to block some features in it and build a demo version. Even in the worst cases this shouldn't take more than 5%-10% of the time spent on its development.

    spam with misleading price info

  • It is based on a picture exchange system developed for people with speech delays to communicate their needs independently and effectively.

    A picture exchange system?

You mean a system that bypasses the need to speak?

If that's so, then this is no help, and can actually slow the kid down. Why even try to speak when you can share a pictureof your frustration at not being able to speak?

You say a whole bunch of stuff here and on iTunes, except how this thing is meant to work.
