    Saw that one on CCPU but I had doubts. Even though it says its brand new they state that it only comes with 3 months warranty. According to what's written in the description on there home page.

    Same with the 39" Medion tv for only $50 more.

      They link to the medion aldi website. which states 1 year on it. I'm with you I have doubts too. Has any one bought from ccpu before?

  Thoughts on using this as a PC secondary monitor? For gaming/movies. while a normal size for web browsing/text?

    The medion tv deal I posted from esold was shit over hdmi, text practically unreadable. Using VGA it was good, text easily readable, but VGA tends to be a lot worse in quality than DVI. Especially playing video, the picture had alot of shudder. Not all that noticeable, but putting it next to a cheap lcd connected with a dvi cable, and it didn't look like a viable option for a main screen replacement.

    It sucks balls for resolution so pls do not use as a PC monitor. There is a reason why monitors cost significantly more than tv. I bought it as a second tv for bedroom/kids playroom.

  i have one of these. it's good.
  pros- inexpensive, great resolution, minimal lag on channel changing
  cons- you have to point the remote directly at the receiver, the tuner is pretty weak (I had to replace my aerial, my soniq picked up all channels with the old antenna no problem - the old antenna was falling apart anyway), limited usb playback (plays avi, doesn't play wav, mkv , maybe others).

  is there a firm ware upgrade available? if they could fix the usb playback then i'd give it a 8/9 out of 10.

  aldi seem to be too mainstream and their pricing is no where near as sharp as it used to be. there hasnt be a bargain from them in electronics for 18 months, just recycled stuff getting less for more $

  Bought 39 inch medion at this price from new store opening aldi
  Great tv at a great price. 5 star on energy consumption as well.
