Cheapest Nintendo 3DS XL

Just wondering where I can get the cheapest 3ds xl at the moment. I also would like to know the best method of selling the 3ds I currently own.

  • buy one from europe and take advantage of the mh3 promotion

  • buy from amazon, get monster hunter, sell yours on gumtree

    • They are $260 from amazon uk

      • wow.. really? i got mine 3 weeks ago about 230 with 2 games.. 1 free though.. so 230 for 1 3ds xl plus 1 game

  • I'm also in the market for a 3DS XL - unfortunately missed the great prices on Amazon UK earlier in June. Currently there's few options other than paying full price at JB Hifi or EB - if there's any other deals out there I'd love to know!

    • +1

Yeah I'm in the same boat as you, waiting around for a good deal - I'm almost tempted to pay full price here locally but the OzB inside won't let me do it.

  • You can get one from these thieving bastards* for 150GBP shipped ~ $245 but I wouldn't recommend it unless you really can't wait.
The regular 3DS can also be had for ~$170 from the same site.

*The reason I call them thieving bastards is because they're meant to discount VAT for international buyers but instead they want you to 'claim it back yourself' from HRMC. Unfortunately we don't fulfill the requirements to do that and I think GAME knows that very well; they just want to pocket the 20% and/or are just plain lazy.

    • If you don't care for the Monster Hunter deal, JB Hifi has them locally for $238 - with a charger.

  • Found this one but it does not come with a charger

  • Does anybody know where you can get one of the bundles, preferably monster hunter, locally? Big W and Target are supposed to have the bundles but the ones I've been to don't have them so I'll just call them up. The bundles seem to be the best deal available here at the moment.

    • Where are you?

I will be calling a few Big Ws in Perth to find out if they have the Mario 3D Land bundles - I can let you know if you're here.

I'm very keen to buy one tonight.

  • Had a look instore at jb and you can get an xl for $250 with generator rex and starter pack if anyone is interested but I don't think you can get that online.

    • +1

I saw that yesterday but I somehow doubt that generator rex will give me a fulfilling and enriching video game experience :-D

  • Went with JB Hi Fi - $238, split $99 of my purchase on to my ING Debit card so $5 off there.

Got given a voucher with my receipt for 'purchase of a console' - starting the next day, for about a fortnight, I can get 20% off a game purchase using it.

  • If anyone is interested they have Pokemon 3ds xls coming out with x/y, if you want to wait but not yet confirmed weather it will be getting a release here though. http://kotaku.com/theres-another-new-pokemon-3ds-xl-you-know…

  • That looks pretty cool but I don't know if I can wait that long for a 3ds.

  • I found a good deal on gumtree if anyone wants it
    http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/canberra-region/consoles/sell…

    • pretty good deal here :)

  • they are currently $220 at target not sure if I should get this or hang around for a better deal

    • In the same boat …

Or should i just get the Big W one and get the Naruto game with it

      ……..

  • Pretty sure I saw the XL @Costco Auburn in sydney for $210. Although there is the $60 membership fee to shop at costco.

    • Its not really worth it since I don't have a membership, also I'd have to go to the city.

  • I'm looking for one too - although I really want one for pokemon x/y so I am going to wait until there is a good deal.
$220 at target, or 250 with some naruto game isn't good enough to make me bite yet
