I don't understand. Hardly Normal has it for $328. Would you not pay an extra $18 for Australian stock, plus a brick and mortar shop you can go back to if you have troubles, plus you can pick it up whenever you want?

    • Nothing wrong with purchasing from Harvey Norman - suppose its more just a personal preference of weighing up whats more important to the consumer price vs. convenience?

This is an amazing camera, I purchased it last year to take to Fiji on my honeymoon and it performed brilliantly. It's reasonably complicated for my skill level (which begins and ends at point and shoot). It also takes RAW images for anyone interested in touching up photos. It's got a nice heft to it and feels very well built too.

Just my 2c as a "normal" camera user who gets confused when reading camera reviews because of the terminology :)

    • Also bought this camera last year and cant fault it. It was to replace an 5 year old sony entry level SLR which i just couldn't be bothered carrying around on a trip to Europe. for a point and shoot camera it works great. also feels very solid. Also has just survived me falling on it and dropping it in the ocean (in the water for maybe 2-5 seconds). for about a week it just said lens error but now works again!!
my only negative comment is just an annoyance with the flash, i always forget about it so have my finger over it when it trys to pop-up. One day it will break and not pop-up

EDIT- Sorry my bad, i bought the s100 which was the model before which had in-built gps

      • Oh shit, me too! I've got the S100 not this model (useless GPS much?). I expect it would be more of the same, but yeah the flash annoys me too!!

  • Ripper camera, as others above have mentioned. Best in class pocketable point and shoot, for sure; you have to drop ~$500 for the Sony RX100 to get a better point and shoot.
