How much weight can it take if I was to use it for decline bench press?

    • +11

I wouldn't use it for that, its not stable enough. Fine for sit ups but that's it. (I have one)

      • Thanks beakeroo.

Where would you get the barbell from and put it once you're done? Don't be silly with weight exercise.

Also, haven't sit-ups been debunked? A 6 pack comes from ab tightening whilst doing cardio and a correct diet. Sit ups will not produce anything unless it's on top of those. It will just injure your back.

I'm guessing he has someone to spot him.

        • +4

Or he's using dumbbell's which he puts on the floor when he's done.

Must admit I thought the same thing, but it doesn't really look too sturdy.

        do you even lift, bro?

        Broscience!

Thanks man! Nearly bought one, read your comment and did further research, sure enough sit-up by itself doesn't do any good other than potential back injury. Saving me $25 and space from a piece of junk. Cheers!

I've got one and used for last 4yrs. It's very useful. I'm 183cm and 75KG.It's stable enough to carry barbells, I currently carry around 6KG and doing some left and right sides as well. As far as I can tell it's gonna last for another 10yrs plus…….
The only part I've lost is the cover on the leg, because I carry the bench to the gym downstairs every training day.
      I've bought it for 99……
      Hope it's helpful :)

Does this fold flat for storage?

    • +1

I don't think this is the fold up one as they have a different more expensive one on their site which says fold up

      • +2

        Nope, doesn't fold.

    • I assume that you are referring to a different brand, which presumably is lower quality.

      • +1

No, same brand but it's a bit different.

    • I cannot find on BigW website?
      Where is it?

      • +1

In-store, was a few months ago so stock will be flakey.

  • 15 left now according to cart dropdown

  • Damn… Was gonna get one once I got home from work… Couldn't buy it when I was at work because of shipping due to mobile site :(

with android google chrome sometimes u can click 'request desktop site' so it reverts to a normal site rather than mobile …not sure for iPhone though.

      • I had Desktop toggle with Dolphin browser, it wouldn't revert back to the normal site. Usually it does, but I noticed some websites just don't allow it :( ahh well

  • Came today. Was easy to assemble.
The pair of nut and bolt didn't seem to fit though. The nut had some blue plastic on one side which stopped the bolt from going all the way through.

Regardless, I find it quite useful since it's painful for my spine to do situps on hard surfaces.
